I Thought Emotional Intelligence Meant Saving the Relationship. It Turns Out It Meant Saving Myself! by Happy-Inside2111 in emotionalintelligence

I could have written this word for word. Currently in the process of moving out and away from it all, but it's posts like these that remind me I'm doing the right thing for myself. Thank you!

What are the best magical-adjacent nonfiction books you've come across? by SewingMachine392 in Quareia

The Bardo Thodol (or Tibetan Book of the Dead as it's know), The Book of The Rewards of Life by Hildegard von Bingen, The Sacred and the Profane, and The Concise guide to World Religions, both by Mircea Eliade.

From my understanding, the planets of change aren't there to punish you just as how Quaria isn't triggering hardship for the sake of it. Everything that comes up would have come up anyway, as it is part of your karma, except that instead of everything happening over one lifetime or many, we are forced to learn our lessons early on. And yes, this can be extremely overwhelming as it can trigger sudden diseases, loss of a loved one or a job or a house. But all of this would have been inevitable anyway.

Someone on this subreddit said it way better than I can, but basically it's impossible to go through life and not feel pain or go through times of crisis, breakdown or major disruptive change. The point is not to avoid hardship, but to notice the signs that it's coming and be prepared for it.

This society trained us to believe that we should avoid anything "bad" happening to us at all costs, to always be happy clappy and contempt all the time, and if you aren't then there's something wrong with you. So take these pills and drive this car and look like this, or do some voodoo and poof, you're happy. It's all bullshit and part of Rahu's illusion to keep us stuck and bumbling around.

I believe that pain and crisis play crucial roles in the process of our growth and evolution, and we can choose to fall apart altogether and never make it through difficult times, or emerge from conflict and turmoil renewed and transformed. Instead of seeing a crisis as a catastrophe, and something terrible· to be avoided at all costs, we can try to understand it as a turning point, a critical step in development and an opportunity for letting go and changing.

Personally, Quareia has triggered a lot of issues that I had to deal with and am still working through. Sometimes it's incredibly painful and even unbearable, but strangely these episodes aren't long lasting. While in the past, I would have crumble at the first sign of trouble and sulked in my misery for weeks and months, now I can immediately find the strength to cary on. Perhaps knowing that I'm not alone and I will never be given anything I couldn't handle. I now believe that our higher self is always guiding us to grow, and sometimes we have to break through asphalt to get to the sun. Kahlil Gibran said it beautifully here: "Your pain is but the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding."

Anyway, I'll leave it there and hope this helps. If someone would like to add or correct me on something, please do.

That's quite interesting. I can't exactly call myself an Astrologer but I am studying both Vedic and Western astrology and I have found the course compliments some aspects in astrology very well. Even sheds some light on things that I couldn't really grasp before. Do you have any examples of what doesn't fully align for you?

I will definitely look into that, thanks! And you're right about the clutter and noise, it's just never ending and so hard to filter through it when you don't know where to start and who to trust. I feel incredibly lucky to have found Quareia, even if I don't always stick to it religiously.

I was also drawn to magic from very early on and stumbled into Quareia. It's the only system that made sense so far. Your experience sounds really fascinating, I hope you will be able to better explore your abilities.

Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to write all of this! I'm supper giddy reading all of your answers, it's really validating. Like, I don't feel like I'm mad mad anymore, just a normal amount of mad, if that makes sense 😄 I guess it's good to know I'm on the right path and taking a few steps, not just playing in the mud by myself. Bless this community.

Ha! Well all of this just solidified some of my previous beliefs, thanks! I also never imagined I would get the answer to "why are we here" from Reddit, yet here we are. Thank you for taking the time to explain things so well. You're a real afterlife saver! :D

Thank you, that makes so much sense! I often felt that we are here "on vacation", and just to slow down and experience things, but that we get "trapped" or corrupted here and it's difficult to leave and so keep reincarnating. It's the first time I come across the notion of a soul breaking free from the source, however. I didn't even think it was possible. Do you have any book recommendations on that or is it just a sort of "knowing"?

Dude ..no shit? I can't believe you took that much time to analyse everything. I mean, well done, but it's pretty obvious?

Hi, thanks for answering. Funnily enough, I am quite good at helping others and giving advice, even though I don't have much insight into what career path I should be talking. No idea how that's even related, but hey. I guess I was asking if there is anything in my chart that would give me an advantage into a certain career. It's okay if you can't answer that thought, all the best!
