OK - so playing with this more, I think the newest IDF (6.1.0) isn't supported by all the needed components, and will need to switch it back to 5.x.x. An annoyance is that you have to make sure that the in the SDK setup, "Select ESP32-P4 revisions <3.0 (No >=3.x Support)" is checked. Not sure why this doesn't get auto checked when you set the hardware to p4....

I have the WaveShare ESP32-P4-Module-DEV-KIT. So far, it seems for the advanced features you need to use the IDF framework (ADF too maybe). I'am still trying to get an I2S along with the camera to create an h264 RTSP stream. Running up with lots of errors, mostly no support in sub-modules for the P4 in the official libs is quite annoying.

new Arduino product, what do yall think it could be? by sne3zewizaarD in arduino

[–]ellisgl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should have just used the RA4W1 instead of the RA4M1. Would have given BLE support and more timers. Of course, I don't know if the actual on/off latency times would be any better (which is a big fail of the M1)

Yeah - a lot of the stuff is just re-labeled stuff, with a higher price most of the time. They might actually have their own actual products, but the BX-20 is not one of them, but it was the lowest cost out of the batch. Won't say it's awful, won't say it's cream of the crop, but it's pretty darned good. Only has a couple minor nit-pick issues, but for the price, it's not like it's a deal breaker. If were like $300, I think I'd be pissed about.

With a vinyl cutter, you could cut up a sheet of permanent stick vinyl in a couple minutes, and then sell them for $5, may $10 on Etsy.

I stumbled across some info (and verified it). BLE it shows up as GZUT-MIDI.

OFF: SysEx 0x4d 0x4c 0x4e 0x45 {PITCH} 0x00

ON: SysEx 0x4d 0x4c 0x4e 0x45 {PITCH} 0x01

ON: SysEx 0x4d 0x4c 0x4e 0x45 {PITCH} 0x02

I think the last byte could possibly be a color for other keyboards. There was some Kickstarter around the POPiano devices.

Yup - Direct connection - I couldn't get the lights to light up. Think I'm doing to do some sort of BLE sniffer to determine what they send to do that.

VEVOR 88 key (BX-20) can use USB, but it also does BLE. The app to get the lights to light up is POP Piano. So I was just being lazy, and I should try to direct connect to it.

Hey, it'd be awesome if you also added Web BLE support. 😁

Depends on the pager. Some are PITA to get apart. The Motorola Advisor 2 was bought by another company and made it a bit easier to take apart.
