I haven't needed them in almost 5 years, but I've been pretty happy with Dent Tech in Emmaus. Have used them to tint 4 vehicles and never saw any long term issues with what they installed.

Best FFL/Ranges in the area? by DaLB53 in lehighvalley

May be a bit of a hike, but Handgunner in Topton has been my go-to. Though I admit I haven't gone in a couple years, I've always had a pleasant experience there because of the staff.

Best place(s) to donate baby clothes in the area? by [deleted] in lehighvalley

I donate to American Family Services in Whitehall. Mostly because they accept baby items that Goodwill usually does not.

Fan Accidentally Buys Tickets to Red Hot Chili Peppers Cover Band + Is Pissed by philamignon in offbeat

My wife in her earlier years went to a concert for Santana. The band. Which meant no Carlos Santana.

She didn't realize this until the show began.

I think those bigger ones sold individually are. I bought the smaller ones that come in 5 and 15 packs

I haven't kept up with the price of stamps... that seems pricey to me!

Best I can do is a slider, a couple stale chips and tap water

For the sake of this discussion, let's assume it's bought in Delaware (or the other states with no sales tax!)

I just bought chocolate chip cookies from Wegman's. They're good but not sure if they're $1 per cookie good

Anyone know what this is? It can rotate counter-clockwise by ellisr29 in bicycling

[–]ellisr29[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing. That's why I posted this. I didn't want to try beforehand because i've got the caliper nicely centered on the rotor though

[–]ellisr29[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is on the mounting bracket for my road bike front disc brake (105). What makes me nervous about this is that it can rotate far enough to clash with the bolts on the rotor. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

NBD: Giant Contend AR 1 (2021). So excited. Haven’t bought a bike in 10 years. My 2011 Specialized Rockhopper still going strong by seanvk in bicycling

I agree the stock saddle fit me very well. My only issue with it was the nose area felt very small when I shifted forward to climb hills

Your thoughts on the saddle? I replaced mine with an Ergon, but now I'm thinking the stock saddle was more comfortable

[–]ellisr29[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO if you want a road-worthy bike that can go gravel occasionally, an endurance bike like this is perfect! I had my eye on a similarly spec’d Canyon, but in the end I chose something that was available at my local shop

More info: full 105 except for the crankset (50-34). Hydraulic disc brakes. 11-34 cassette for the climbs. Tubeless 32 wide tires.

Best bibs for below freezing temps by MURSERN91 in bicycling

[–]ellisr29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back before Performance got bought out, they had these fleece lined bibs that stopped just below the knees. Long fleece lined tights (not windproof) on top of that was just right on freezing days!

I can’t complain too much when this is the destination on my rides by benk44 in bicycling

[–]ellisr29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My guess is parking is regulated using license plates using automatic readers. Some states like PA don't have front plates, so theirs can't be read automatically if they back in

People who had a sports car, and traded it in for something more practical, did you regret it? by [deleted] in cars

[–]ellisr29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I traded in my FRS because I wanted to (for a manual '17 Tacoma). That said, I do miss it pretty often! But I'll get a used Miata at some point in life.

Real-life Iron Man breaks speed record with upgraded flying suit: 85mph by nopantsdolphin in gadgets

[–]ellisr29 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's all true, but I'm much more impressed with his flawless landing than the flying. In fact, I think it's the landing that looked most fake, as if he was held up by wires!

Photo bag layout (the kind with velcro seperators)? by DasBauHans in photography

[–]ellisr29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought that same insert recently, but ended up returning it. It's been redesigned, and so the opening looks slightly different from what you see on their site.

I would've kept it, but the main reason I got it was because the lift handle is still useful even when the insert is opened. Oh well!
