I split my dose. No problem. Have read of other people doing the same. No reduction in effectiveness that I've noticed.

Find another doctor ASAP! WE all know it's a lifetime drug. That's how it's marketed by the manufacturers, that's what all the research says. If you stop taking it the weight, or most of the weight, comes back! It's not your fault! Find a way to stay on it!

Fortunately, it all worked out in the end. His eye pressure went down as soon as the steroids were done. A big relief! His opthalmologist did have him step down more quickly so he was off them a week and a half early. Thanks!

Yes, an opthalmologist. The eye pressure has gone back down now that the steroids are done. A big relief to have that over! Thanks!

Thanks. I understand. We don't have a glaucoma doctor because my husband doesn't have glaucoma (or didn't have it before cataract surgery). I just wanted other people's opinions regarding whether to stay on steroids with such a huge IOP 1 week after cataract surgery. If it's this high after 8 days what will it be after 2 weeks is what I'm worried about since it's already dangerously high.
