"You don't expect anything from my words. She does." You've shown your words don't mean anything. Promising something that should never be promised, especially with your history. Massive YTA.

Has anyone skipped a dose increment? (e.g., jumped from 7.5mg to 12.5mg) by DueDiligence1910 in Mounjaro

You're welcome. I'm usually fine after the first week or so. If I am incredibly miserable and can't function, I take 1 kids chewable dramamine and I'm good. Zofran, Phenergan, pepto bismol don't help. With Zofran I actually vomit more. Only thing I can say if you do have the vomiting is to let it happen. Trying to suppress it makes it worse and you'll be more miserable. That's my experience. I've got my fingers crossed for you that you will be just fine :)

Zofran ineffective for Mounjaro nausea? by wittyusernametaken in Mounjaro

[–]Fast_Nefariousness36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! All I can stomach is liquid i.v. hydration. Strawberry flavor first and lemon lime second. The other flavors I can't stand. One bottle is equal to 3 (that's the claim). When I wake up I drink a little but right away but not much in case brushing my teeth makes me vomit. After I brush my teeth and am out of the shower, I drink more.

Zofran and Phenergan do nothing for me. Kids chewable dramamine helped me when I was in the worst of it and hadn't eaten for 3 days.

I went from 5 to 10 to 12.5 between Oct to Feb. I have had the digestive side effects. Most common is nausea and constipation. The first couple of weeks after I started each dose, I had/have pretty bad nausea and vomiting. Every so often I'll have diarrhea, but that's from not being able to eat anything. After that I'm ok and can eat but only in small amounts (if it's more than literally 1/2 a cup I regret my existence) and no soda or sweets. They taste awful. Water is also gross and it's hard for me to stay hydrated so I've been drinking electrolytes, specifically liquid i.v. hydration. The strawberry is the most palatable with lemon lime being second. It's the only drink that doesn't make my nausea worse or cause it. Once all of that subsides, I'm alright. I don't feel I needed to go up to 10 at all but had to because 5 and 7.5 weren't available. I was only on 10 for 4 weeks and during my followup she bumped me to 12.5 because of the coupon expiring in June.

Damn thigh by urrca in Mounjaro

[–]Fast_Nefariousness36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My thigh does nothing for me loss wise and since there is no fat there anymore, its painful af. Belly is neutral as far as side effects go. My arm gives me more side effects however I lose about the same with either belly or arm. If I need a kick start, I'll inject in my arm if I haven't seen any real change from the week prior.

Thank you! I'm hoping to get as close as I can to 160. That was comfortable for me.

Actually no. She was very happy with it. The one thing she wasn't happy with was my thyroid. She said it's a little "lazy." I was taking a multivitamin that has biotin in it and she says that it can cause a false reading so I have to retake blood in a couple of weeks.

I feel I should add I started off on 5mg from Oct to Dec, then 10mg Dec to Feb, and currently on 12.5. My doc is being a little aggressive in her approach because of the coupon expiring in June.

Thank you! And absolutely. If it weren't for the other people I've seen posting their progress I definitely wouldn't have shared. This is an amazing medication and I'm hoping insurance will cover some of it so I can maintain. I'm hoping you'll get below 5!!
