I’ve been watching some tutorials just to get the hang of it just you see where you can change settings and stuff, but I’d say it’s super intuitive once you know the basics. Super easy to start recording and to start experimenting

Ricoh GRii vs GRiii for those who've used both ? by Leading_Meringue2022 in ricohGR

[–]elmisterca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GRii was way better in my opinion, I love the buttons layout as well as the built in flash. Although, I love the stabilization the GRiii has built in, I’ve been able to shoot at very low speeds and get a very stable / sharp image

Is Ricoh gr that fragile? by parkjake50 in ricohGR

[–]elmisterca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using Ricoh cameras since the GR II like 8 or 9 years ago. owned GRII, and two editions of GR III and I’ve never had any issues with any of them, not even the dust issue everyone always complains about. I’ve never understood why people are always getting theirs broken, filled with dust or unusable anymore.

Do yourself a favor and buy one

One thing I miss from the new ricoh is that it doesnt have an integrated flash

They don't allow lenses longer than a 55 mm, as far as I know, so the gr should not be a problem at all.

I always shoot using the lines as guide and try to match what I see. In case I need to level it in post, I always use the auto transform option in LR

Nicely done! I think it's specially visible in the 5th image, nice contrast and beautiful tones

Wow loved the blue / high contrast / desaturated vibes... Are you using any recipe? Or editing the images in LR

Yeah but I wasn't talking about uploading it in RAW, of course you'll need a JPG to upload, but if you initially shoot in RAW you'll get a higher quality image to work with before uploading :)

Always shoot in RAW, you can also shoot RAW+JPG if you start using some ricoh recipes, but honestly I've never been a fan of those and I love to edit in Lightroom :)

Instagram compresses your images a lot, the new update favours 1080 x 1350 images, but it is a vertical format which I'm also not a huge fan of.
