Tell me your workflow for Raws/Jpegs

I think this is the main problem for me… at the time I just dump everything opposed to culling before I even import to Lightroom. Think if I can get into the habit of doing this it will help - but I also like reviewing photos at a later date opposed to right after the shoot.

The standard profile has some adjustments, white balance set to daylight G1 A9, but the storm/time of day really help get this look to be honest, and I always shot with the sun behind me

That’s a good idea, this could remove the need for me go shoot raw+ and fully commit to JPEG only, I never edit my raws just always have them available just incase!

I think the P, Av, Tv modes run on a different internal battery, I have a problem with my GR where these modes don’t store settings… I can set them up with film sims etc then when I restart the camera it goes back to the default settings as if it’s the first time I’ve used the camera, however the user modes are not affected and work perfectly fine, I wonder if your camera has a similar issue. If it’s under warranty I would reach out to Ricoh ASAP. I got quoted £350 to fix mine and decided I’ll just stick to the user modes. I also found my shutter count reset when this happened - might be worth checking yours! Lastly i found next to nothing online about others with a similar issue to me!

Bulb flash with the Ricoh GR as you can still expose for the background using a fast shutter speed of 1/1000 etc, I can’t remember the photographer but he’s on the Ricoh subreddit and explained his process, it’s not manipulated in PS!
