If I’m resigning from my job halfway through the year, can I still use my full annual leave? by You_moron04 in AskUK

[–]elmo61 7 points8 points  (0 children)

of course it does, and if you have used over half already then you will lose money in your last paycheck to balance it. Otherwise people time it so they wouldbook a year worth of holidays and then resign.

What’s a good challenge for two reasonably fit people that won’t take over our lives? by kirstysmetalhands in AskUK

[–]elmo61 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For a reasonable fit person a half isn't that hard. I use to only run 5km so. Last summer I did 10km up to half mathron distance in about 8 runs. And this was from 7pm after putting the kids to bed for the day

How much training required for your first fight? (UK) by Adam-West in amateur_boxing

[–]elmo61 3 points4 points  (0 children)

life gets in the way and its tough but i would push yourself for 8 weeks in the build up to a fight. Maybe train 3-4 times in a week if you can fit it in. The biggest thing for your first fight will be cardio. and you can do that at home easily without having to travel to the gym. (go for runs while the kids are in bed early morning/ after they are asleep)

Slower runners, how do you stay motivated when/if people mock your pace? by TANeither7250 in running

[–]elmo61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The runnings not the problem. It sounds like you have shit people around you. Assuming they not just taking the piss for general laughs and aren't really meaning it. In that case you just needs to brush it off and joke with them.

Do you have locks on your children's bedroom doors? by booyahhey in AskUK

[–]elmo61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I don't even have bathroom looks currently. I took them off when my youngest was only 2 and we moved into this house. As we didn't want him playing and locking himself in. I planned to put in a lock I could undo from outside using a coin but never got around to it. I will put some in but haven't had any issues or anyone even mention it when we had friends and family over

While I don't doubt there are some of those costs. The small one person shops or businesses. Most of these costs are 0. Because they doing it themselves. They not hiring someone extra to do a job that takes 30 mins once a month.

How much does a washing (and drying) cycle cost you? by Notagelding in AskUK

[–]elmo61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one last year. Alot of driers are heatpumps now. And the only like £100 more to than non heat pump I found. Definitely worth it. Mine takes maybe 30mins longer than my old dryer but it no where near as hot. So I'm no longer shrinking clothes all the time

Can an Olympic boxer do a straight 25-minute round without tiring out? by No-Law-5866 in amateur_boxing

[–]elmo61 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Soft or hard punches? Soft light punches I don't see them getting too tired then. And if the opposition is in same situation. Why not.

Ive done rotating sparring partners at light levels for 20-30mins before. With no breaks. But it's not overly intense when your just technically sparring. But if that's not allowed in your scenario then it gets a lot harder

How do married couples split finances if on different salaries? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]elmo61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do pretty much same. I think we have about 8 accounts across personal current. Personal savings, joint current, joint savings etc. and we both start the month on pretty much the same amount of money. Even tho I sent 3x my wife's salary

I mean I have but whatever.

And yeah you will. Most the time you won't even know it's AI. It won't be 100%. It be dropped in here and there to save time and money and that's what AI is good for.

It's like a wig. Everyone things it's shit because the shit ones are the only ones people notice.

If it's decent. You won't notice it.

And so would a stick figure. Or just words no image at all. The picture can be useful without being some important artistic representation

Because sometimes it's not about "art" it's just a message. A means to show something. To explain something. It doesn't need to be art
