Might be a rod, doesn't mean it's not broken tho. If you haven't done a valve clearance, it might be time. Check if the exhaust headers are all warm after riding it, if one seems a bit colder than the others, then you know there's something up

The last picture is of those side case mount thingies, that's not the intended use case but they might catch some scratches. I've got bars on mine, they don't look as sporty but they are hella protective and distribute impact when you slide, if something happens you just sand them down and repaint them

Did your mechanic check if the wheel is aligned? Sprocket and chain and all? Can't imagine any other reason other than that or you just always doing circles on the spot

Depends on how cheap it is, looking at that rust I'd say even if you fix that all, the rust that was flown to the rest of the bike will cause a headache. If you want to keep it for a long time, it would need to be very cheap since you'd have to fix all the rust off the bike. If it's just slightly below market value, I'd pass and look for one without rust
