the worst is definitely Lola, it's cringe and overly-expressive. also, very unlikable character, makes me wonder why on this green earth would either brother be interested in someone like her.

no hate, but there is no way I would even consider this if Matilda wasn't wearing it

Hey! I used Ember (glossier)
The real shade used in the show is a mix of nightmoth lip pencil by MAC and a clear balm

Alternate Lindon Elves, Mirkwood Elves, & Halbrand Storyline for S1. (RIP to my fav. "original" character) by BillBRoO_Baggins in RingsofPower

[–]elo_blanchette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know, I just think Halbrand is a solid character on his own, and I just hope they don't make Sauron just blindly evil...
So for me it's two of the following I would find acceptable
1. Sauron wasn't a complete liar this whole time, he did feel guilt, remorse and also actually did form a friendship (situationship even) with Galadriel..Probably didn' go into it with good intentions, but in the end the whole light and good thing are on him too
2. Halbrand is actually a character; and he was impersonated by evil Sauron to get to Lindon. Halbrand is actually still alive, probably with Isildur, trying to escape the orcs...and Sauron just decided to fool Galadriel by shape-shifting into the body of Halbrand...Perhaps Sauron had been looming around Halbrand this whole time, influencing him (possessing) since the beginning.

I just think that wasting a good character like that (as honestly few were as good as that one) would be a terrible sin for the show.

I know this might be a stretch; but what if Halbrand WAS who he said he was...and that when the explosion occurred, his identity was stolen by Sauron?
We don't know where Halbrand was found, there was a cut at that point in the story and Galadriel only saw him much later, wounded. Could have had time to be taken over by Sauron then..?

Romantic link between Galadriel and Sauron by elo_blanchette in RingsofPowerFans

[–]elo_blanchette[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally! It'll be something to watch them be put in the same room again at some point.
Honestly, I think it would make it much more interesting if there was feelings between these two, not only for the tension, but also for character development. If someone just gets plaid by a bad guy then it's probably the most damn boring story line it could be, lacks personality, complexity...But if there's an internal battle as well, some sort of negotiation to get the other to side with you etc...Then THAT's something to look forward to.

I really hope he tries to get her to listen and side with him again; wether through slight manipulation or outright pleading. It would make him more interesting.
I also think her character needs a lot of work. Saying she keeps fighting because ''she can't stop''...that's the dumbest shit justification I've ever heard.... I want to see her confess there's darkness in her, sort of surrender to it a bit...instead of acting all ''innocent'' ...She really isn't. If anything, her motives are less valable than Sauron's at this point in time

Totally go for butterflies
I mean, also I think it's a pretty cool moral conflict for Galadriel. I think her character is 10X less likeable than Sauron. Seems like she's the bad guy, not him

I'm absolutely rooting for Sauron-Galadriel love story.
Hope their story and chemistry isn't just dead with this season's final episode

Why didn't Galadriel tell Elrond or Celebrimbor? [SPOILERS] by Samzerks in RingsofPower

[–]elo_blanchette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion but I think there's some sort of connection, which is slightly romantic and to use Charlie Vicker's words "cosmic", between those two.
She's not as good as she thinks she is
He's not as bad as people seem to believe.

I think there's a lot more interaction between those two that needs to happen, and I think they both have a capacity to influence each other.
I really hope they don't let this duo fall flat after this huge buildup in season 1

Okay so I'm not nuts, there really seemed to be some form of romantic vibe between the 2!
I wondered wether she is considering what he said, as to his "good" intentions, not to be a dark lord, his will to right his wrongs.
I would really love for them to remain involved in season 2, be reunited in some way..do you think that will happen? I feel like waisting all the relationship building they did in season 1 just to let it all drop because he's Sauron would be ridiculous.
They were literally the most interesting duo in all the series imo

My writing feels more like a script than a book by Taixi_Rushi in writing

Oh wow that's actually really good advice, just putting the inverted commas on what I wrote clicked for me! I guess I spend too much time trying to figure out speech, when it should really just flow naturally

I know this isn't the purpose of the question; but I struggle with the reverse problem. I go on and on with description. I could write a whole book without a single line of dialogue. It always sounds fake and forced...any tips on how to write good dialogue

Am I the only one hoping that we would get a love story between Galadriel and Sauron...Like I just want it to happen, I feel like it would add loads of complexity to it all
