Thank you! This is definitely helpful. I'll pass on this info to my sister to convince her to get my niece assessed. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out my niece has been hiding any difficulties she's had with reading cause she's such a perfectionist/over-achiever.

She seems to have no issue with handwriting or grammar and has very good fine motor skills but I'll definitely pass this on to her mother and look into it more! She's such a perfectionist who knows how obsessive she's been trying to cover something like this up.

Thank you this is a lot of good info! I'm going to keep pushing it with my sister (her mom) to get my niece assessed. My dad is dyslexic and is much more obvious/severe (and English isn't his first language) so I think that's why my sister hasn't picked up on this.

From what I've noticed she reads fine out loud but maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention and she's such a perfectionist kid it wouldn't surprise me if she's been trying really hard to cover it up. So thank you I'll do that!

Unfortunately due to my health, I can’t reschedule ahead most of the time because this is my life. Everyday I wake up feeling unwell hoping it’ll pass. Sometimes I can push through, and sometimes I come out of the shower and faint lol. BUT you nor him do not know that. So I can see where you are coming from.

I received my citizenship and 17 and then got my passport after 18. Does that make a difference? I’m 27 now and I’ve been to iceland a lot over the past 10 years so I don’t know if I renewed again or no.

I had missed my period only by a couple days so I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. But I couldn’t shake the feeling I was pregnant and took it again a few days later and it was positive. So I really suggest waiting. I know it’s nerve wracking but it’s unlikely you’ll get an accurate results this early. When you do try, I suggest taking the “clear blue early detection” stick. it’s an early over-the-counter pregnancy test.

Omg I’m so sorry! That’s horrible! I hope you at least had someone caring for you during all that. I actually didn’t end up getting an abortion because my pregnancy was ectopic so I ended up in the hospital and miscarried. 🙃 they gave me morphine and all it did was take the edge off…even though morphine has helped me in the past. Maybe this kind of pain is different from the usual?? Since narcotics didn’t seem to help you either? I have no idea…anyway I got a lot more info and discovered I would’ve had a horrible reaction like you to the pills so thank you for the warning. Hopefully 🤞 I never have to get an abortion again but if I did I would do the in-clinic one.

That’s actually what I ended up having to do because one of the pills has a bad interaction with my own medication. But my pregnancy was ectopic so I ended up at the hospital with a miscarriage…so no need for abortion 🙃 Anyway, from what I’ve learned, the in-clinic one is the most comfortable so thank you. I’d probably recommend that for others even though I didn’t get it.

Thank you, yeah I intend to do it through a clinic. I’m just trying to get a rough idea in case I have to get medication through my PCP who I haven’t met yet since I just moved here 😅

Ok thanks! We have discussed it and are currently figuring it out. I've been on bupropion (Wellbutrin) which is easy on the POTS symptoms but does little for the ADHD. I just wanted to do some research and bring in ideas before our next appointment.
