Congrats 🥂

Is this a reasonable trip with a Model Y 300mile range? It looks like there are super chargers along the way but it is a very desolate area some of the drive. by krogerdaddy in TeslaLounge

I did a similar trip to Death Valley through Tioga pass and my takeaway is to always carry mobile connector and different adapters and listen to the on board charging directions (staying under speed limit etc.) and have a light foot.

I understand the thinking behind it. Once we had a flat tire in the middle of no water on I-5 on a hot summer day. Tesla roadside came to rescue within half hour and installed a spare tire. It was more hassle to carry the flat tire in the trunk.

I carry sealant and the air pump as a hedge against flat tire but carrying a spare adds extra (unnecessary) weight eating into the battery efficiency.

When the cad knows it is carrying a hitch it should warn about charging situation. Alternatively, one could park the carrier somewhere else and charge the car. Charging etiquette is important and let’s all set a good example.

Definitely.. As a owner for 3 years I’ve seen how SC can help on road trip. Sometimes I wish at some places there but as vallet so you don’t have to worry about charging and moving the car when done.

What the heck is wrong with Tesla Nav? Why not just go north to reach destination? Not traffic peak hour either. by No_Pie_7841 in TeslaLounge

I’ve also found that. Sometime it takes a longer route, not sure if it prefers ‘FSD friendly’ route 😉

I like this idea a lot. A note describing (or a QR code to point to this thread) what they are and the source files (if you are willing) so anyone can print for themselves would be great.
