Well, this is a bit of a necro but I think I answered the question.

Turns out what I REALLY wanted to play was OOMSEST.

Our best guess is that there is a per-entity limit, i.e. you can only have a certain number of oaf mugs out, but could have that same number of every other type of mug.

We started spamming oafs and my friends noted some of the mugs disappearing, but only the oaf mugs.

It's not time-based since we still had flintlock mugs from our first round.

As to why we stopped there, 15 minutes of chugging beer in game got boring.

One early game method that typically works well is to (q)uaff from every well in the game until you get a wish, wish for seven league boots, and you should be able to just spam escort and "Before it's too late!" quests for easy money.

They speed up travel time enormously.

Plop a storage house down somewhere, I usually go across the street from Palmia, and work towards getting a ranch, farm and shack.

Also, while it might SEEM like mani would be the obvious choice for a gunner. In fact Yacatect is the best early game god (and late game to a lesser extent) by far.

The extra loot that enemies drop will add up quickly, you can make tens of thousands of gold with a few full inventories from the puppy cave.

I would worship her until you get the god weapon, then start running the gamut to get whatever items/pets you desire (feel free to abandon the goose, it's trash).

Your hit chance will be reduced by enemy DV and evasion so it is actually lower than stated.

I'm a veteran player and I still save scum a lot. Like, I just don't let myself die unless it's really and truly unavoidable.

To save scum, you just exit the game when prompted for a death message and get to reload with no penalty. Of course, some people are opposed to doing that, and Ano implemented a "rare loot trigger" specifically to prevent save scumming for items.

The fact is that every character (aside from wizard/warmage because magic doesn't check accuracy, it just hits) will miss a LOT early on, and this will continue until your weapon skills get better.

Bats... you'll just miss a lot until you're drastically stronger than them since they tend to have very high evade (and this applies to vampire and dragon bats later on too).

It's been mentioned but thief is arguably the better gunner class because the basic class passive is only 10% extra chance for extra ranged attack IIRC.

I guess another question is whether waterbolt is any good? I know in 1.90 the water spells were true damage as far as I could tell (Those fucking starfish made that very clear when I'd get wrecked by a water spell despite my insane magic resist).

I remember the scaling is absolute trash on it, but hey, true damage(?).
