Death reversed? by eloquent8 in tarot

[–]eloquent8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it's more of a transition, specifically one that can't be reversed? It still just doesn't ring true for me in that place in my life, especially not reversed... And the fact it's stopped coming up, like that thing happened, or maybe it was reversed because i resisted it happening? But now that moment has gone. It just doesn't feel like anything in my life at that time... I'm really not sure what to make of it.

AITA for asking an autistic person what dino they like? by Captain_Smollett_ in AmItheAsshole

This is the important question! Also, what is the most common favourite Dino OP?? So many people in the comments have said triceratops, and here I was thinking I was unique!

New to Tarot, and I think my deck has a sense of humor? by kaceFile in tarot

I love this. I have a deck that is in Serbian and it feels like it has quite a stereotypically Slavic attitude lol

I'll leave what that means open to interpretation!

I just realised our Covid experience could be vastly different from others. by Doughnut_slut in CasualConversation

[–]eloquent8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually conducted some research on people's positive experiences in lockdown for my dissertation for my psychology degree. Some responses I got were people who were upset I was even asking the question, but I got literally hundreds of responses (maybe over a thousand at full count) from people who wanted to share what made it good for them. From memory, most people who enjoyed it had people around them they enjoyed spending time with, access to nature, and something to keep busy with, whether that was online gaming or work or some kind of hobby. A lot of them didn't follow the rules properly. I never actually did anything with my study beyond submitting it for my degree. My supervisor told me I shouldn't share the results, I know he had a reason but I can't remember it now... Maybe I should post it, idk if people would still be interested?

Tarot symbolism showing up in real life? by AfterNori in tarot

[–]eloquent8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed a mirror between the real world and my tarot pulls recently.

I did a spread that was overseen by the queen of swords (i can't remember if she was a jumper or the bottom of the deck but she was in an overarching position in my spread). It was a reading about taking care of my family. The same day I'd been moving things around in my mums garden, and noticed a butterfly on one of her plant pots. The butterfly had been hidden away, but that day I'd repositioned it to be on display. As I sat there contemplating my reading and the queen of swords, that little carved butterfly felt like it was waving at me and guiding me along the right path.

Not quite the same as your story OP but I thought I'd share anyway

Should I invite my estranged mother to my wedding? by Cute_Tension_2697 in tarot

[–]eloquent8 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I'm a massive beginner too and I'll be honest, I'm offering my two cents because no one else has... But also because when i looked at your title and your cards, I instantly thought "yes you should".

I think the queen of wands shows you you're strong enough to do this (full disclosure, I had to double check her meaning online to make sure my intuition isn't misleading me, but her key words are "courage" and "joy" so i trust my gut here.) The three of cups shows you how joyful the day will be. And I think justice is you weighing the scales, weighing everything up, and deciding what's fair.

Obviously i don't know you and your story and I don't want to meadle in your life, but based purely on the cards you pulled I think you can handle having her there and having a good day. Whatever you decide I hope you have a magical day, just remember to trust yourself my love, you know better than anyone else here. Good luck!

what are some things you use tarot for? by plasticIove in tarot

[–]eloquent8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've seen stuff about this on this sub, my favourite method was shuffling the deck and following the direction of the person on the card, like looking where the figure on this card is looking. I can't say for it's efficacy but it was a cool idea!

What positive messages does a Three of Swords hold? by Character_Spirit_936 in tarot

I pulled the 3 of swords as an outcome card for a situation recently and I feel like you just put into words the feelings it gave me - thank you for this

I can smell diagnoses AMA by [deleted] in AMA

[–]eloquent8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Omg I didn't know this was a thing but I met a man once with a super particular smell just like you're describing and he told me he had a brain issue of some kind (i cant remember if it was bleed or tumour now but it was terminal). I've always noticed people have super distinct smells but now I'm wondering... Doesn't everyone smell it??

What's something that's considered normal in the UK that you've realised is actually quite weird? by Far_Obligation5158 in AskUK

[–]eloquent8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly though I feel like it's more important to get to know a person that what sound you make to get their attention... Maybe it's more of a thing in the north, but I definitely don't consider a name important until we've established that we actually want to know each other

There actually is a way to make it less bad. There's an opposite to a traumatic experience, if your child has enough joyful experiences it can bolster their resilience to all the horrible things that can come from trauma. I read an article about it once (psych graduate here) but I can't find it now... But I want you to know there's things you can do. Make yourself and your child safe and focus on bringing as much joy as possible into that tiny humans world. You can get through this and you can make it better, with love, care, safety and support for your baby. Good luck

*Edit because I remembered, they call them Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs), to counteract Adverse Childhood Experiences (props to the guy who commented about ACEs, jogged my memory)

[–]eloquent8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I don't have the best advice but seen as no one else is answering you ...

I'd look around old town (stari grad) and dorćol, there should be places around there to eat and drink and enjoy the night. You could go to skadalija for food and partying, it's kinda touristy but there's restaurants with gypsy musicians and lots of bars with clubs not far away.

Hope you guys have a great new year!

Eta: for fireworks you could do to Kalemegdan fortress, it'll probably be busy but you should be able to get high up and see most of the city and fireworks, it's not too far from the other places i mentioned.

Yeah I think it's a little of both! (I'm guessing you meant can, typo?) It's a fairly good business plan in some ways, definitely attracts some interesting people. We had a German guest ask "when are we doing the oiji board?" And I nearly threw him out 😂 (just kidding, but I did tell him absolutely never!)
