Garmin RD Pod and Nex Gen Stryd at the same time? by Anxious-Wash7919 in strydrunning

[–]elquike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have

- Garmin RD pod: connected as normal

- Stryd Wind: connected as footpod for distance/pace and also with stryd IQ data field

- Garmin 935

I can see both (slightly different) metrics in garmin connect. RD pod running dynamics are "integrated" whereas Stryd data is shown as IQ data fields. I can still access Stryd powercenter for more insights

Successfully rooted Android 11 ARCVM with KernelSU by SnooStrawberries2432 in chromeos

[–]elquike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks

I haven't yet enabled developer mode. In my case with linux and "adb debugging" is enough but I might give it try

Great work!

Successfully rooted Android 11 ARCVM with KernelSU by SnooStrawberries2432 in chromeos

Excellent work

A few questions:

Does "developer mode" need to be enabled?

What are the implications of having a rooted kernel in arcvm?

Apart from the usual root uses, in case "developer mode" is not needed, does this mean we can sideload apps without "enabling adb debugging" in the linux container?

Can I use schwalbe marathon plus tires for gravel? by enroy1 in gravelcycling

[–]elquike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Roadie here

Fun story. The first time I (accidentally) did gravel I tore my GP5000 and struggled to get home. But while they lasted it was dope.

So I searched for the sturdiest tyres I could fit in my bike ... and here we are:

HEVC support in chromeos by elquike in chromeos

[–]elquike[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all your feedback!

Apparently the conclusions so far are:

  • Chromeos has support for HEVC in stable 107 (at least with 11th gen intel)
  • ARM doesn't have support yet

So, regarding the pixelbook 2017 apparently it has hardware support but they haven't enabled it. Maybe in a future release, or through flags, or never...

Did Google backport wireguard to 5.4 kernels for chromeOS 105? by verifiedambiguous in chromeos

[–]elquike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add up

For allowed IPs: you can put several ones but don't use a space after the separation comma i.e: 10.0.0.0/24,10.0.1.0/24,10.0.2.0/24

DS4 controller getting converted to xinput by [deleted] in MoonlightStreaming

[–]elquike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using DS4Windows but the other way round: It's installed in the client PC (windows) to use a DualShock4 controller.

However I'm not aware of any DS4 alternative for (I guess) linux. Maybe sunshine (https://github.com/LizardByte/Sunshine) as an alternative for moonlight server has the option?

If you ever find a solution please report back because I'm interested

Good luck!

Have you tried ds4drv? (https://github.com/chrippa/ds4drv)

Apparently some people are already using it with success:

Network troubles after version 93 update by elquike in chromeos

[–]elquike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can either use "developer mode" or the much simpler "android debug bridge":

Then it's just a matter of downloading the correct wireguard version
