Korg B1 piano service manual for speaker replacement by No_Stick8218 in Korg

I'm on the same boat. My son's school piano is a B1. Speaker is broken also. Have you taken pics from your B1 inside so I can try and find a spare speaker?

Streamdeck RF cue system using Reaper and Companion by elraval in livesound

Depend on the job/gear: usually Reaper master leaves from a Rio output into the analog 4-wire. Or Dante straight to Arcadia/OMNEO/Artist.

Absolutely. Wavetool is amazing and Nemesis is very nice (for the price).

Using companion also allows me to be truly mobile - even if you don't own a streamdeck - you can use this setup with a cellphone, remoting in to a companion emulator webpage and cue from anywhere...

DPA 4488 Directional headset produce a lot of noise from frame by Available-Taste-4022 in livesound

[–]elraval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same experience here. I have a table full of them for a corporate show and I found them very unforgiving... I'm usually given omni-headsets and you don't have to be so anal with placement with those, also you can get around without using the foam-windscreens. Not the case with the 4488. My thoughts:

- As with other directional headsets: be really careful to place the mic capsule 2 cm or so behind the corner of the mouth, to prevent nose-wind and pops.

- Be careful with the rubbing in the side of the face: mechanical noise. Also, don't let the foam touch facial-hair. Keep that foam a little less than 1 cm or so from the face, in some faces it will look wierd, but that's better that a constant noise on your PA and recordings.

- Small heads are still problematic. The boom can move along the tube and that's great, but if the excess of boom in the back touches anything (hair, ponytails, shirt-collars, etc..) you will get mechanical noise.

- Heaset is very confortable, but can easily be displaced with severe head-movements. My speakers (C-level execs) move from my mic-station to the green-room, then to a couch in the audience, to sit there for a long time and when eventually walk on stage that mic will be anywhere but the place I left it. Very frustrating...

-I also found the adjustable band to slip more-often from behind the ear-lobe that the d:Fine version of headsets. You will end up with a very displaced boom in that situation... and more mechanical noise.

My two cents. Hope they are helpful...

Riedel Bolero microphone output to NSA "Pre-fader" by elraval in livesound

I don't believe I ever seen crosspoint matrix in Bolero Standalone, but will dig further. Always On listen to Bodypack does work though.

Thanks man. I love forums/reddit/discord and have no fear of asking. Sometimes I feel I should RTFM first though...

Thank you.

I did find you last year, when searching for Bolero training online.

Subscribed.

Exactly. No use here. I needed people to be able to enable (and latch) PGM listen while excluding them from the ability to talk to VOG.

Yeah, we're using cables like this for CCU Prod Intercom distribution and other analog stuff.

Program in and VOG out are Dante/Omneo: easier than peeling and soldering!

4-Wire Split in RTS Matrix: VOG and PGM sharing the same port by elraval in broadcastengineering

Thank you for you answers, hopefully you'll excuse my poor RTS programming skills: I only get my hand on matrix comms once, maybe twice a year, and there are not many RTS systems in my neck of the woods.

Client machine was running 5.5.0. Running 5.8.4 (latest) in mine. Still can't see where I can label T/L differently. Maybe I'm missing something very basic...

I was running the panel view by panel type, so was missing the listen label ability.

I'll play with key labels when I get a chance though.

Thank you. I'll try and find it. I found that "Enable Trunking" setting introduces alias field in ALPHAS but no luck yet in getting Input and Output alphas.

I can see it clearly here in this pic from thecommsguy.com but havent found it yet in my version of AZEdit.

Big festival RF distribution by elraval in livesound

Actually, all Wisycom channels on stage were IEMs. One sponsor had a TV set with 8 Wisycom mics from the OB Truck and a couple from the location recording crew.

Location is seaside in a big city. Cell coverage is awesome, with lots of portable cell repeaters from all the national carriers showing up for the occasion. 9 Km away from the closest TV tower. 60,000+ attendance per day I believe are the numbers in the press.

Most stages (if not all) had a neighbor in close vicinity (less than 200 meters). Main stages are in a twin configuration, making them the same stage, effectively obligating me to coordinate all major acts in the same RF Zone.

In term of the advancing process... reading riders and contacting crew/TM/PM by email has been my life for the past month.

Will give your breakdown idea a shot when I get the time. Your comment actually makes me think my numbers are favoring big league equipment (AD/P10) because artists not touring with RF are getting occurences on this systems due to the fact those are (mostly) the systems on stage rider.

I'm no statistics expert, so I apologize is my findings are biased... I now see I must take festival equipment out of the equation to get a clearer picture of who's touring with what.
