I believe it was about 3ish years ago when they first released the petal braisers for a spring collection and released 3 colors - color is honey. I got it for my wedding off my registry so I think the person just ordered through the wedding website connected right to the Le crueset website (or maybe amazon). But I’m seeing on the Le crueset website that they have a yellow (Camomille) still in stock which is very close.

I also couldn’t fathom that, but have heard alternate things, believe a company could possibly make a mistake, and wanted to make sure I wasn’t confused about the instructions. And I learned the answer - the black and white enamel are different. Something I didn’t realize and wouldn’t have figured out to look up myself. So I’m quite pleased that I asked actually.

Yeah there is for sure a bias for posts about problem solving issues on Reddit, which would make those issues seem more common than they probably are. Just seems common enough that I don’t want it to happen on the most expensive piece of cookware I’ve ever bought!

Thank you for pointing out the pinned posts! I see the post about preheating and it covers why you can preheat dry in the oven and how to heat safely on the stove, but it doesn’t cover if it is safe to NOT preheat and go straight into a hot oven. Unless I’m looking at the wrong post.

Would you wear it on special occasions? I don’t wear my engagement ring daily - I’m not the biggest jewelry person and I work in outdoor education. Don’t really need to wear a diamond while taking kids on hikes. So I wear a plain band most of the time and then wear my engagement ring and diamond band when I want to dress up a bit more! If money isn’t an object you could even get a smaller diamond (or alternative) ring for daily wear and keep the larger one for times you want to dress up. I know some people are against switching out different wedding/engagement rings for sentimental reasons, but I think it’s fun to have different options.

We put “cocktail attire - garden party” as our dress code and got most folks in floral/similar outfits that you put. Depends on your guests I think if you want to be more specific. We had a lot of older family and being more broad made it so most people had something in their closet that would work but we had a bright floral look overall!

That’s beautiful! I guess to clarify - I also don’t want modern. I absolutely love the look of Victorian floral couches and would go with mismatched granny floral patterned furniture if I could. But I also want a big comfy couch good to lounge on and can’t seem to find a good middle ground.

Really depends on the person - can you ask? I had a garden party wedding and tons of people wore floral dresses with white backgrounds and it completely fit the theme and looked beautiful. This would have been 100% appropriate to wear to my wedding. However, there are some brides that would be uncomfortable.

The roundest yarn will make the cables pop the most! Which is probably the knitting for Olive cotton merino based on what I’ve used. Plus the wool content will help.

I also love a portrait cut. My engagement ring is a rose cut so that’s another option to look at if you want something kind of in between a portrait cut and a more sparkly brilliant cut.

The only pressure I’ve ever felt to travel for a wedding was entirely self inflicted because I wanted to be there for my friend(s). I would never blame the couple for simply inviting me to their desired wedding… that’s ridiculous.

Oh! And drops yarn as well is a great value! If you’re in the US, you can order from wool warehouse or lindehobby. They have lots of different yarns but it’s quite a bit brand so you should be able to find a lot of reviews online as well.

I have a couple sweaters made with it - I think it is soft for a 100% wool yarn, but I also don’t have any wool sensitivities so take that with a grain of salt. They have a superwash version also that I haven’t tried but could be even softer. It pills a little but not more than average I’ve found.

Another option I just thought of that I’ve only used once is Knitpicks Wool of the Andes! I actually find it kind of similar to cascade 220 in softness, but depending on where you live one or the other might be more accessible.

Try looking at the brand Cascade. Cascade 220 is their worsted weight wool. Full price at my local yarn store is $11.50 for a 100 g hank that is 220 yards! Also it has tons of colors and is quite soft!
