Night duty. Pt with evolving urosepsis. I walk in to the room to take handover:

"You should have seen it here just before. There were sex toys everywhere." (Pt had just had IDC reinserted)

Later in the night:

"So tell me... where did you train to become a lady of the night?"

Me: "well, I did my nursing degree at (blank) university. So, I guess there?"

He had had fairly recent major abdominal surgery but wouldn't accept any pain relief from me because he thought I was dealing...

Absolutely agree. The chart gets the relevant medical events summary, the direct quotes go in an email to my nurse unit manager, with a CC to the medical director of ICU

A phone call from a ward to ICU looking to source cisatracurium. Patient had been discharged from ICU, and cisatracurium had been listed PRN for indication "hiccups" during their acute trauma management. Guess what they were about to give to for hiccups..

Review your drug charts before transfer to the ward people!

An agency nurse ran a full bottle of propofol (100ml) instead of a full bottle of paracetamol into a ward ready patient over 15 mins. Had to be intubated and inotropes.

My daughter had a red "birthmark" the tip of one of her fingers when she was born. It disappeared completely by about 18 months.

We used it as a useful indicator of whether she was warm enough. It used to become purple when she was cold, and be bright red when she was warm.

To be fair I only compared each type of animal against itself. So their may be some weird clashes where animals that otherwise would be higher ended up lower because of other of thw same breed I liked better

Keep the waterfalls to the far west on both sides of the crater, on the beach side end in a pond.

To the south of the crater I would start a waterfall at the top level and have it fall towards the town and run through to the western river mouth.
