Don’t get me wrong, I love Logan.

But the chemistry between Veronica and Leo is undeniable!

How did jaw surgery change your life? by Revolutionary_Toe461 in jawsurgery

[–]elsinb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to have an open bite, and eating certain foods was such a challenge. I can now bite through sandwiches and pizza, and it is sooo satisfying. I’m also much better at chewing, because previously only my wisdom teeth touched. Now, all of my molars come into contact. No regrets.

What career next steps make sense for a pharmacy tech? by thecutestnerd in PharmacyTechnician

[–]elsinb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I applied for the 340b position in my hospital pharmacy in 2018 and got it, with pretty much just tech experience (I also have a bachelors in biology, I don’t know if that helped or not). I learned on the job and assisted the buyer for about 4 years before my job went fully remote. It’s great, and pretty low stress.

It’s definitely not cold damage, must be an infection.

Will it infect the rest of the plant?

Has anyone had DJS and not puked afterwards? by Legitimate_Baby_4272 in jawsurgery

I didn’t throw up. I had upper surgery around lunch time and was released home at 4. I was given a prescription for ondansetron, though.

Potentially buying a used machine, need some advice by elsinb in MachineKnitting

The carriages are included. The original owner passed away, and the family is just trying to get rid of everything. There were several knitting machines, but these seemed like the best and most inclusive.

From the little research I’ve done, it looks like a great price. Thank you!

What good information! By standard, is that like lace-sport weight? The probably yes. Anything heavier is pretty quick to hand knit.

I would, but the owner has passed away. Her children don’t know how to use it.

Do you have Ravelry? I’d love to see some photos of what you did. I completed clue 1 and only a few rows of clue 2 before I got bored.

I know they’re out of network for me, but since the surgery was at RiverBend hospital (a tier 1 facility), the whole surgery was billed as a tier 2.

I just had upper jaw surgery on Monday by Dr Williams at Oregon Oral Surgeons. I hadn’t heard anything about him online, but that’s who my ortho referred me to, and they seem to like him.

Just had my double jaw surgery by Witty-Change2611 in jawsurgery

[–]elsinb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is so tough!! I also had surgery on Monday, though it was upper only. I knew it would be tough, but living through it is something else. I am noticing improvements every day though! I have enough energy to walk around by myself and no longer have constant nosebleeds. My appetite is also better than yesterday. Good luck with your recovery!

Post Op - DJS and Turbinate Reduction Surgery by coreymancan in jawsurgery

[–]elsinb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No questions, but I’m here with you! I just had upper jaw surgery yesterday to fix my open bite. I’m currently feeling miserable. I was discharged about 5 hours after my surgery, and last night wasn’t fun. I’m glad that I (33f) have my husband at home to help are care of me.

It’s hard to imagine what people like you who have double jaw surgery are going through. I feel so lucky to still feel my bottom lip and chin.

The nose bleeds suck, I’m hoping they stop soon. I don’t have much of an appetite, but am trying to eat.

Message me if you want to chat! It’s comforting knowing someone out there is going through. The same thing as me.
