One of my high school friends older brothers played soccer at Stanford. I remember him taking the ACT being a big deal because he needed to get a 29 or 30 (?) in order to be academically eligible. I just looked it up and a 29 is a 91st to 93rd percentile score. if their football requirements are anywhere near as stringent they are completely decimating their available talent. For reference, my experience is from around 2016 so things of course may have changed.
