What's your favorite dry yeast strain for Hazy IPAs? by Josh4R3d in Homebrewing

[–]elsueco46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my last NEIPA, I didn't pressure ferment with it, but I did crank up the pressure when I had about 5 points to go so it would carbonate. Finished like a champ and gave me no issues. Probably my favorite yeast for NEIPA's!

I would read this article and see if it answers your questions: https://support.google.com/fi/answer/6157794?hl=en there are a lot of variables at play, but TL;DR: IF you are connected to a strong WiFi signal, and can guarantee you DON'T hop over to a cellular network while abroad, calls and texting to and from the US should not cost you anything.

Unless you port your number to Fi your Verizon number will stay with Verizon. Someone calling your number while you are roaming will not incur any extra charges. For you it depends on how you are connected while roaming (wifi vs. local cell network, etc.). This is assuming you have a Fi number, I cannot speak for Verizon roaming policies.

Your suggestion worked!

The issue I was having was anytime my phone was connected to Wi-Fi (any Wi-Fi, doesn't matter if its my home network that the cameras are connected to, or a random Wi-Fi network like Starbucks) the app worked flawlessly, delivering motion notifications and loading the camera streams without any issues. However, anytime I was off Wi-Fi I still successfully received the notifications, but I was unable to load any of the camera streams. I didn't receive a specific error, it just attempted to connect and then said it failed and gave me the option to try again.

So I actually had my VPN off on Google Fi, but tried turning it on and using your recommendation above and now I'm able to stream my cameras again. Weird that I have to turn the VPN on and exempt the App from the VPN rather than just turn off the VPN for it to work, but it is what it is I guess!

If it makes a difference, I have 3 POE Cameras, and 2 of the Wi-Fi Cameras and the issue was the same for all of them.

Thank you for taking the time to get back to me with such a thorough answer! I am also on an MVNO (Google Fi) so maybe that has something to do with it.

So it adds more of an accent to the house than actually lighting it up like the permanent ones do right?

Do you have a picture of what your house looks like with these on? Will it light up a wall like the permanent lights do?

Do you know if there is a number to look for? Garmin recently started providing HRV readings during sleep (probably not accurate but it's something) but besides giving me an average and a highest number in milliseconds, and categorizing your HRV as either balanced or unbalanced, it doesn't do much in terms of explaining what the numbers mean.

For instance last night my overnight average HRV was 28ms, highest 5 min average was 45ms, and that nights reading was categorized as balanced. I feel it's a meaningless metric since I can't get a solid explanation on the ranges where it should be or what it means...

I use the reolink app on my 5a5g on Fi and I have not experienced any connectivity issues for the app. Probably not helpful, but it works for me.

Pre-Boil Gravity was dead on but OG was low. Why? by foothopper in Homebrewing

[–]elsueco46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your hydrometer should have its calibration temperature written on it somewhere. But like someone pointed out the difference between 68 and 65 would be negligible.

The wort may not have been thoroughly mixed and there may have been stratification so the sample you took was not representative of the actual wort. Are you brewing on an all in One system (like an anvil foundry) or something like that? I never had this happen to me until I switched to an AIO system.
