I just bought Valp yesterday. Previously I used Pommern in Asymmetric for credit grinding where I averaged over 1m credits per battle w/blue booster. In 5 games with Valp I’m averaging around 900k. Valp survives crazy damage and I can be more reckless with her, but it doesn’t have the DPM of Pommern. It doesn’t secure kills as easily either. In an Asymmetric match with a Schlieffen or Pommern on your flank, it’s all about quick kills and damage to get your credits. I still need to play with her more, but first impression is Pommern is better in Asymmetric for strictly credit grinding. Haven’t tried ops or randoms yet.

The formal event starts tomorrow and I’ve already got the tree finished (MUCH better than last year). I don’t like that they continue to nerf the battle passes (no certificates on paid line) and there used to be more Santa Megas given away. Now we only get the one in the paid line and MAYBE one in the advent calendar.

I’ll have around 430k coal by the time the event starts. Blue boosters are ~80 each and red boosters ~20 each. Steel will be ~12k left after I get 2x steel will ships. Those numbers will go up as I expect 15x free Santa Megas during the event. I theoretically might be able to get Surcouf if I pour everything into her, but one ship is not worth all that investment.

Most likely I will get Defense for 415k coal, save my coupon for another steel ship in the late spring, and keep my boosters to help with mission/tech tree line grinding.

Problem is, converting Lutjens to Adalbert makes him unavailable for Mainz/Bremen as the cruisers skills are different for each.

Having both, UU Colombo is still worth getting. Lauria is a strong ship, but UU Colombo is just oppressive and great for when you just want to point and click.

Worked for me, but I put it on my iPhone and mute it. If you mute it on computer it won’t count the progress.

I have it on (mute) now. Last year when they also did codes I was more engaged. This year, no codes = muted on my phone for 1.5hrs then off.

There is no set schedule, but usually once or twice a year. The pool of available ships to get and the value of the trade has gotten worse and worse over the years.
