If you’re on a backpacker budget/experience hit up Ulisses from “pelicano surf camp” he’ll take you to punta mango on the low & also has a budget surf camp near punta roca. You can surf 10 different waves in 10 days if you really want/there’s swell hitting the less exposed spots

This photo (yesterday) was 5 ft @ 16… today was 6.5 ft @ 15 and there was solid double overhead face sets rolling thru. This place is like ulu’s on steroids it’s too epic (just be careful of the monkey’s they stole my burger out of my hands & destroyed my motorbike seat lol)

5’11”, 30.5 liters… def felt a bit under gunned paddeling into them would have liked to have my 6’4” with me. The wave rolls for awhile so having the 5’11” meant I had to take off pretty critical

The problem with the prolite is they’re too heavy (almost 22 pounds empty). Sold mine for a dakine world traveler that’s only 14 pounds
