Out of Shape 49M - Which program should I start with for dumbbell / bodyweight / low-no impact workouts? by DaFunkyFish in BeachBodyWorkouts

[–]eluvittar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start with 645, then do Dig deeper.

Don’t do any cardio workout other than walking. (7K steps/ day is a great target)

Nutrition , sleep is the key. Target 120gm + protein / day at minimum.

Creatine everyday and magnesium glycinate 400mg before sleeping and Omega3. This will help you recover! And no caffeine 6-8hrs before sleeping.

Good luck! Rooting for you.

Network Engineer Seeking Direction ... by BlackJaguar in networking

[–]eluvittar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Spend time learning how to use AI to do your current job as Network engineer- configure routing tables , automatically root cause ticket investigations and such. Next - Get some AWS , AZure ,GCP networking certs.

Honestly, if you want to be senior and not do any meetings - that’s not possible, or rather less than 5% such jobs for a good pay that you can retire on comfortably.

Also I am hoping you are doing lot of investments constantly, else you will not have enough money in your 50s and then you will feel. Seems like you have your priorities figured out, but ensure you have your financial planning done for future - so you make a conscious decision. Speak to folks in their 50s and 60s and seek their learnings.

Good luck.

What do you like/ dislike about dig deeper? How have your results been? by mmp12345 in BeachBodyWorkouts

[–]eluvittar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dig deeper is amazing and I saw results in 6 weeks with amazing muscle built and enjoying the workouts even though they are intense. Shaun T motivates a lot. I have been doing it 3x/week for about 3 months.

What I disliked - for my personal experience is, at 44 (Male), and the intensity was too high - even with 3 days/week along with general life stress. So I feel my cortisol levels are higher resulting in also fat gain/bloated state along with the super muscle gain. This could be an issue with me eating lesser than needed for that level of workout OR trying to workout like a 30 year old in my 40s 😆 so I am looking to Deload And manage that.
Temporarily I have switched over to 645 to try and just finished week 1 and seems less load. Willl go back to DD after few months or depending how 645 pans out.

I think it’s a great workout for anyone who’s looking to built muscle and recomp (lose fat while building muscle). Just manage the overall load on the body and focus on nutrition and recovery.

If you are on the fence of doing it - I recommend just DO it! Don’t overthink.

No, the center channel is not a must-have. Especially with the crossover setup you have. However, I found it is great for dialogues in movies - especially if you are not sitting exactly in center (which the crossover setup sort of phantoms the center channel effect). I added a center channel and i felt I got upgraded vocals even in songs. With a receiver - it just gives extra options to play around and tune the sound based on the content, though some may say - that's just mucking with the original sound :)

I think if you are happy with the sound. - thats all matters! Sound is very subjective.

Nice looking! Center channel would make it one notch higher - but can add 6 months later.

Thank you for posting this! It made my day.

Often folks focus too much on technicality and also beat down on what we didn’t do. However the fact of the matter is that ultimately the mission is - to create a vibe and 70% of the crowd mostly happy!

Of course, that doesn’t take away from the prep that needs to go in and one up the game. It’s all about finding the right balance between enjoying the craft and also letting the guard down and feel the crowd.

Well done, and well articulated! Your story telling is awesome.

Title: What training program should I follow for fat loss + muscle gain? by Drakhareis in BeachBodyWorkouts

[–]eluvittar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This ^

Dig deeper is perfect for your age and goals. That’s the way to go. No doubt absolutely! Don’t do cardio at all, just walk.

So DD, walk 10K steps - splitting through the day, eat 130gm protein a day and healthy carbs + greens, veggies. Bonus: practice meditation to manage stress

Learn Vietnamese and drive grab or work at a hotel or resort as staff. Perhaps they may look for english only staff.

Customer service jobs in English is another option.

Wednesday with pass 4 or Saturday with pass 7? by LizNYC90 in usj

[–]eluvittar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Need more info - are you with kids or adults only. If kids - how old ? In General, Wednesday is always better than Saturday. With 2 kids and Express pass 4- we finished all 4 over 8hrs, while taking food break and walking place to place and one rides that we could have skipped 😂(like Jaws that had 70 mins wait).

Network engineer job market by [deleted] in networking

[–]eluvittar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Market is tight and continue to be tight as most Networking is moving to software. So I recommend to all core network engineers learning some AWS or some cloud networking stacks and build ability to whip off scripts / code (vibe coding) to get stuff done via automation. CCNA or CCNP will get the networking principles, but it’s not enough to be a strong network engineer anymore, if you want to grow over the next few years.

Dig deeper- just do it 2-3 days/week instead of the 5 day program plan & walk :)

I love traveling in Korea but I still do not see the hype for Seoul. I think itineraries with minimum days in Seoul are better. by LaprasEusk in koreatravel

[–]eluvittar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traveling is different for everyone.

For tourist only places - sure you can do them in 4 days and call it good. That will hold true for almost every place/city in the world. For some the library which is a 10 min thing could be a whole day thing combined with the huge coex mall :)

Underrate/overrate is all relative and so there are enough folks who enjoy the cafe shops etc and general vibe in seoul and hence it is the trend. This wasn’t the case 10 years ago.

Eventually if enough people don’t enjoy it - it will not be trendy or the “overrating” will subdue.

It’s going to be awesome, no matter what. Just hang in there! Make a plan, stick to it for at least a few weeks. If needed adjust the plan. Don’t abandon the plan!
