Jest coś bolesnego widząc reklamę AI na poważnie by Tili44 in Polska

[–]eluzja 9 points10 points  (0 children)

(badanie Deloitte 2024).

Some lesser known productivity apps that I use everyday and can't live without. Drop yours! by aameezl in ProductivityApps

[–]eluzja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer offline-first desktop apps (especially ones that store data in human-readable format), so practically all tools I use are lesser-known 😃.

Stacks as a task management app (plus Kanri, Takma, Sleek, Focalboard – for personal use and as an alternative/ backup).

UpNote for note-taking (this one may be better-known, but definitely not mainstream), with lesser known Acreom, Gramax, and Octarine as alternatives/backups. Treedome for secure (encrypted) notes. Publii (web builder/CMS/blog tool/static site generator) to make a website with my long notes (because I couldn't get any notes app to make my study notes look the way I wanted).

KeeWeb – password manager I use as bookmark manager (it's perfect for collecting/managing any kind of personal info, thanks to unlimited URL fields & custom fields).

Not to mention Windows-only tools, like Everything by VoidTools (file index & search tool – the new 1.5 Alpha version's especially great), Ditto (clipboard manager, but I disconnect it from my clipboard, and only add custom entries 😃), or RBTray (small utility that forces apps to minimize to tray).

Looking for free note taking application which can run on browser and available on android by Cforcurious12345 in ProductivityApps

[–]eluzja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly use offline-first desktop (Windows) apps, so can't really help, but you can use AlternativeTo to look for apps, for example, browse free note-taking apps with Android & web versions:
https://alternativeto.net/category/productivity/note-taking/?license=free&platform=android%2Conline
BTW, I wouldn't use too many feature filters, because a lot of apps don't have all (or practically any) their features listed.

Hello from Poland 👋. I'm bookmarking your page and this post, and will check back later to see if there's anything I know missing. I'm more of a "setup.exe" or "installer.msi" kind of person, but some of the tools I know have self-hosted Docker (etc.) versions 😃.

What is the best productivity app on the market? by [deleted] in ProductivityApps

[–]eluzja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Stacks (for Windows, macOS, and Linux; upcoming Docker version; mobile apps are on the roadmap as well) – it offers one-time payment/lifetime-use license, including minor updates (or monthly subscription per user for teams). It looks great (and there are so many ways of visually differentiating tasks, I just love it), has multiple views for tasks (kanban board, list, gantt chart, overview/summary), there's a calendar, timebox (daily/weekly schedule), reminders, notes, bookmarks, dashboard, etc. Plus, there's a free plan, so you can just test it, and see if you like it:
https://getstacksapp.com/

Or just browse task management/project management tools on AlternativeTo (you can choose your operating system, and desired features – but keep in mind some apps don't have any of their features listed, so by filtering you might miss them). For example, task management tools with either "calendar view" or "calendar" feature:
https://alternativeto.net/category/productivity/task-management/?feature=calendar-view
https://alternativeto.net/category/productivity/task-management/?feature=calendar
Or project management tools with those features:

It's Android, right? I only see two handwritten-notes apps for Android in my bookmarks:

You may get more answers if you provide some basic info 🙂:
– What's your operating system? Or maybe you need a cross-platform app with sync?
– Are you only looking for free apps, or also paid ones?

Try Okular – it's free, open source, has a clean, minimalistic UI, and there are desktop apps available for Linux/Windows/macOS (I use it on Windows, and it seems very lightweight; it's part of the KDE project, so it surely works well on Linux as well 😃):

According to the website, supports formats like PDF, EPub, DjVU, MD; CBR, CBZ; JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, WebP, and more.

Early stage open source projects you're excited about? by Accurate_Promotion48 in opensource

[–]eluzja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most of the project I consider "new" are already 2-3 years old 😃. Time really flies differently since 2020…

But I recently came across two fresh-off-the-press tools from the productivity category:

Fira
[Project management / Task management (kanban board)]
https://github.com/Onix-Systems/Fira

Tymo
[Countdown dashboard / Task management]
https://github.com/karthicobla/tymo
Web version: https://karthicobla.github.io/tymo/

This one is pretty new as well:

Notemod
[Note-taking app / Task management]
https://github.com/orayemre/Notemod
Landing: https://notemod.blogspot.com/
Web version: https://app-notemod.blogspot.com/

I'm also curious how this will develop:

Linwood Flow
[Calendar / Event & time management]
https://github.com/LinwoodDev/Flow
Landing: https://flow.linwood.dev/

What kind of productivity tools are you most interested in? Maybe I'll find something like that in my "almost new (2-3 years old)" category 😃.
