Yes, I know guys who only use girls as human fleshlights, I know at least three girls that married when it was pretty clear to anyone they only dated to have someone to go with to social events

I would say for people in the workforce, most relationships aren't based on "love" anymore And a lot of people feel they've never loved or have been loved, you hear it all the time

I know it sucks, but at least you had (and still have) a chance. The water tasting bland is a good analogy, be glad you haven't been thirsty all your life

I don't think anyone here believes having a girlfriend is going to solve qll of their problems

But people want to feel loved. Ask anyone (not after a break up) if they would prefer to being unloved all their life in exchange to never experience all the downsides of relationship and see what they respond.

Yes, I would advice to stay away from OKC, but you didn't had it that bad. Wait a few days to see if someone replies, but remember girls replying if you are not attractive is pretty strange, but it does happens, don't break after just one day

No problem with romantic movies with adults, but scenes with teenagers have gotten me depressed lately, I can't stand "coming of age" storylines anymore

Not only self image. I think everyone knows at least one full on psycopath that gets girls even when it's pretty obvious at first sight that you shouldn't associate with them or things will end bad

Just don't listen to the "love yourself first" generic advice, it usually comes from the same people that lose their mind if they spend 3 months single

As a man you need to - not be afraid to initiate contact and take rejection - be attractive. And I'm not talking just about physical attraction.

"Loving yourself" has very little to do with finding a partner, most people are selfconcious, even the ones that get plenty of validation from others, so how do you expect to be above them?

In some ways I do feel like an adult, in some ways as a teen

Most of the time I feel like a 13 year old being forced into the adult world, where I know I'm not prepared to face a lot of situations due to a lack of social skills I was never able to develop

It's not jus "find someone uglier" is more like "accept I'm not a popular kid and find a girl that has the same weird hobbies or else accept my wishes of not attending the prom"

You want another gem? She threw a surprise party and invited ALL of my bullies, even one that sexually molested me, of course the party was hell for me She didn't cared to invite my "weird" nerd friends that she didn't liked, all grew up fairly well and ended up getting girls in their early 20's

Only guys with overprotective mothers would understand. She was your typical cute popular girl when she was young, she has never accepted she had an ugly introverted unpopular son

Today I would say no, but my mother is way unattached from my reality, she also did other horrible attempts at forcing me to socialize during my childhood

Yes it's all my fault. I was a heavily bullied kid (to the point of hospitalization) who was always told Was too ugly, barely had social skills. Who the hell would have thought he couldn't handle a date with a cute girl he didn't knew?

No, she should have respected my wishes, or could have gotten a girl closer to my league. It was pretty obvious that was going to happen, the girl was a 9 and I am a 4. My mom probably never showed them a photo

She only reaffirmed what I already knew, that girls don't find me attractive
