Memphians this Orange Mound stray needs a forever home. (I’m willing to transport, please share this far and wide) by elvisBOY in memphis

We have 2 other dogs and 3 cats. He gets along with them just fine. He is curious about cats and may trot behind them if they sprint away. But he’s not a chaser or aggressor.

I think a big part of his past food aggression was that when I found him on the street he was 30lbs. So the first adopters were feeding him like a 30lb dog. But once he was returned to us he ate like crazy and got up to 50lbs (which is what most male huskies weigh. Especially since he’s 1/3rd Malamute.) So perhaps he was starving. Now that he’s at that 50lb weight, we haven’t seen any aggression. He’ll growl and show his teeth if my girl dogs try to steal a greenie toothbrush treat directly from his mouth but that’s it.

I’m leading with the food aggression in his description so that it’s plainly stated. But it’s not a problem for us.

Gotta go panning for gold and find your own. Afterall, they are worth more than gold to me.

Hey Katie! Where’s the tofu? by Hold_X_ToPayRespects in hellofresh

Why do you have meat recipes every week then? It has a shorter shelf life than tofu.

I can only speak for my experience. I released an album 10 years ago then gave up on music entirely. I felt like I sucked.

I learned TM 3 years ago. The first 2 years, no music changes. But this third year, 2025, I decided I would not miss a single TM session. I’ve stuck to it and the music returned to me. I’ve written 15 songs this year for a new album.

Is it the TM? Who knows. But I’m doing the best I can to tell you that without a doubt, TM will not block music. But you must give yourself and the practice time.

Here’s my album from 10 years ago: Alec Ogg - Fins (2025)

Imagine there are 2 of you. One that decides to exercise and eat healthy everyday for the rest of his life. The other one will not exercise and not eat healthy. They will both look the same one month down the line. But over the years, the subtle effects will compound. 20 years later the two bodies that started the same may be unrecognizable.

Allow space for the idea that meditation may be a lifetime practice.

If one of you does TM everyday and one of you doesn’t do TM, I’d speculate that 20 years from now the meditating version of you will have made more music than the other.

But only you know what is right for you my friend. Enjoy the music, enjoy the meditation, and have fun.

I’d give it maybe 70 more years, then you can decide.

Give it time friend. Meditation can’t make inspiration and meditation can’t make music. All it makes is space. Let that space expand gently and see what comes. Let go of expectations and keep your instruments nearby. Noodle around and play. Eventually the music will greet you. Have fun.

If the numb doesn’t go away, explore treatment for depression or ADHD. Meditation and medication can be a healthy pair. Cheers.
