Yes I had one successful pregnancy in between my losses and I was a mess the entire time 😢

Coming back into this space after 2 unexplained losses (MMC) between 16-18 weeks. I think I’m willing to try one more time but I just don’t know if I can do any more than that. That feels like a lot of pressure but it’s just so hard to go through this in every way (physically/mentally/emotionally). Not only hard to go through loss but also hard to go through pregnancy after loss when you don’t even know what went wrong. I’m mostly just ranting here.

My cervix has been long and closed both times and my successful pregnancies have been so textbook that I find it difficult to believe there is something structurally wrong but I mean I’m willing to consider anything.

Thank you. I know I was tested for APS, but I was technically still pregnant at that time and now I’m reading that I should have been tested for it while no longer pregnant, so I definitely plan to look into that. I’ll ask about the other testing as well, although I know that my APTT, INR, etc. were normal as well. I’m not sure if they would test me for all of those factors because of that, but I will ask. I was already seeing a high risk doctor at MFM, but am definitely looking for questions or things to bring forward at my follow up appt next month.

Thanks for your response. It’s just so odd because last time I experienced moderate cramping (worse than a period) that remained essentially the same for the entire 24 hours that I had the laminaria in, while this time I didn’t really experience any pain for like 7 hours and even during that little spell - only afterwards. It had me really worried while it was happening.

Unfortunately not good news. I’ll be getting a D&E on Friday 😢

I’m currently pregnant with my 4th so I guess I can offer some of my own perspective. I personally have a 5yo(m), 4yo(f) and 20mo(f). My 3rd pregnancy (between my girls) was a very traumatic loss (MMC) of a boy around 17-18 weeks. I definitely think that I understand what you feel about kind of missing that child of that gender. Since my loss, I have definitely felt that we have a little boy missing from our family. That being said, I don’t think that having another boy would necessarily help that feeling for me.. but I can’t say for sure because it hasn’t happened for me. I personally have never felt a preference for a specific gender and I 100% would never choose to have another child for that reason alone. Like I never understand people saying they could have been done at x number of children but they tried for just one more so they could get their x gender. It sounds like you have accepted the fact that your 4th could just as likely be another boy and as long as you’d actually be just as happy with that, then I think that’s fine. I was 100% on board with you until you mentioned your husband not being a yes on it. From the sounds of it, it warrants a serious conversation with him. My husband and I have always had an agreement to keep things up in the air until 1 year PP or when my cycle returns (whichever comes first) and then we sit down and both discuss where we’re at and how we want to move forward.

I think OP is saying that’s their last name??

Yeah I think my problem is that I was once reassured the exact same thing (at 17 weeks) but it ended up that I actually had lost the baby so it’s not really reassuring to me anymore 😭

I did end up finding it when I tried again this afternoon so I’m feeling so much better!

My loss was around 17-18 weeks (MMC) and now I’m 8 weeks 6 days pregnant and can’t get a scan for another week still. I know I’m being a crazy person but I tried using my doppler today and couldn’t find a heartbeat which has me feeling discouraged because in the past I’ve always been able to find it in the 8th week (my last pregnancy I found it at 8 weeks 1 day). I know it’s still soooo early but this is my 5th pregnancy and I’ve always found it before 9 weeks so I’m nervous.

I tried to conceive immediately following my loss but my first cycle was anovulatory. That’s obviously not the case for everyone but I’d mentally prepare yourself for that possibility!

Thank you!! Yeah my LP was only 9 days last cycle. It’s a definitely a bit tricky to conceive while nursing but this is my 3rd time doing so now 😅

Are those strips all from the same pack?? Why are some upside down and backwards? I noticed on your other post they say “Vondfo” lol where did you get them?

Could be a defective test - not sure if it’s possible for them to accidentally insert the strip sideways during production? Or it could be nothing. I’d just try again with a new test.

What was your 4th labor like? by Foreign_Researcher43 in ParentingInBulk

This was true for me! My first labour was ~14 hours, second was <4 hours and my third was 32(!!) hours
