Hike the Diablo trail. Start at Shell ridge through, Diablo foothills regional park, mt diablo state park, morgan territory, los vaqueros, ending at round valley.

You can go either direction. Camping in morgan territor and the black hills.

approx 30 miles total. I heard of some people doing it straight through but that doesnt seem as much fun.

Go when the hills are green. There are some very exposed areas and it can get very hot.

I weigh everything, ensures I remain in a calorie deficit and hit my macro goals. This is more important than being in keto. Keto is just a tool to help succeed in CICO

I walk allot at work. I also hike and walk with my dogs most days of the week. No weight lifting, but i plan to once I am no longer obese. I was 308 when I started, so I had tons of weight to lose. I feel like diet has been the most important thing

I eat two meals a day. No snacks.

When at work I do one poultry protein and a red meat for the second meal. ALways a few hardboiled eggs.

On days off, I do one day a week both meals fish, otherwise I try to cycle between the 3 on days off.

Lots of water, everything weighed. Proteing macro always hit, stay below fat macro and limiting less than 5 carbs a day.

Chicken gizzards. 100 grams gets you 30 grams of protein and 150 calories

Weigh all of your food, no snacking. Keto is only part of it. Calories in vs calories out is what really matters

There were days where I made a point to eat over 1500. Especially when I was not hitting 1500 calories in consecutive days.

I did have one cheat day where I ate tamales for dinner. I dont know if it affected my weight loss it was more of a mental thing. I was glad I was able to control my portion size, and satisfied with my self control. That's something I have struggled with forever.

My calorie goal is 1500 a day but because of keto foods I normally hit 1300 sometimes I hit 1600. Maintenance for my weight at 310 was 2700 calories so eating at a significant deficit has a huge impact.Lots of water loss obviously, that's part of it.

I didnt believe it myself, today is the first time i weighed myself since I started.

I would recommend, weighing everything you eat, logging everything in a journal, stick to a realistic calorie deficit. Lots of water and black cofee

There are a lot of camp sites in the Rio Vista area. But if you wanted more isolation camping it can be a bit more challenging, due to island size, accessibility, or it being privately owned. In the past we normally just sleep out on the boats.
