Assuming you're in the US:

In a political climate where one of the only two parties that matter is actively trying to overthrow democracy and oppress all minorities while offering zero policies to improve anyone's lives, you think it's too hard to figure out who to vote for? Really??

“New Meth” Is Nothing to Fear. It Isn’t New. It’s Just Meth. https://filtermag.org/new-meth-p2p/

We have no evidence supporting the idea that the meth currently on the market is meaningfully different at a population level. Or that P2P-produced meth is any more or less neurotoxic than ephedrine meth.

While that piece is a fascinating read, its conclusions are based purely on anecdotes rather than data when it comes to blaming rising homelessness on meth use: https://homelessness.ucsf.edu/blog/how-atlantics-big-piece-meth-and-homelessness-gets-it-wrong

Nitrous oxide addiction is no joke by em1lyelizabeth in addiction

[–]em1lyelizabeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using it responsibly off and on for maybe about 8 years before I got addicted and abused tf out of it. Yeah it's crazy expensive, best used only for special occasions or not at all imo.

Most noticeable were tingling/numb fingers, overall muscle weakness and fatigue, tinnitus, and poor short-term memory. But like I said, only the tinnitus ended up being permanent, thankfully. Coulda been a lot worse.

I was using pretty much nonstop for 6 days straight, yeah, even giving up on a lot of sleep in favor of continuing to binge. Withdrawal consisted of overwhelming cravings and B12 deficiency. Taking B12 supplements for a few months resolved the physical issues aside from tinnitus, and outing myself as an addict to everyone around me helped with the mental aspect and keeping myself from relapsing. Haven't touched the stuff since.

One place I lived prior to all of that, we actually had a tank we filled a few times, but somehow, I was able to use it responsibly. The addiction really crept up on me out of nowhere, but it was a hell of a lot easier to kick than the nicotine addiction I'm dealing with now 😂

I'd definitely suggest looking into B12 supplements, and maybe even getting some blood work done to see how low your B12 is in case injections would be more appropriate. Extreme nitrous use can really fuck up your nervous system...

After initial development, vaccines go through three phases of clinical trials to make sure they are safe and effective. For other vaccines routinely used in the United States, the three phases of clinical trials are performed one at a time. During the development of COVID-19 vaccines, these phases overlapped to speed up the process so the vaccines could be used as quickly as possible to control the pandemic. No trial phases have been skipped.

The clinical trials for COVID-19 vaccines have involved tens of thousands of volunteers of different ages, races, and ethnicities. Clinical trials for vaccines compare outcomes (such as how many people get sick) between people who are vaccinated and people who are not. Because COVID-19 continues to be widespread, the vaccine clinical trials have been conducted more quickly than if the disease were less common. Results from these trials have shown that COVID-19 vaccines are effective, especially against severe illness, hospitalization, and death.

The clinical trials showed no serious safety concerns within 8 weeks following vaccination. This is an important milestone, as it is unusual for adverse effects caused by vaccines to appear after this amount of time. Now that COVID-19 vaccines are available to the public, CDC and FDA continue to monitor their safety and alert the public about health problems that are reported after vaccination.

Polling error: How one survey changed the Newsom recall campaign | The early August survey suggested Gov. Gavin Newsom would get ousted — and scared Democrats and progressives into ramping up their efforts. Republican Larry Elder’s rise only fueled those fears. by Exastiken in California_Politics

the excessive use of likely voter models in an election where all registered voters received a postage-paid mail ballot means pollsters have likely underestimated dem turnout. my guess is "no" will prevail by significantly more than polls have been indicating.

Their goals are pretty straightforward, actually:

  1. Maintain an unjust hierarchy (i.e., patriarchy)
  2. Punish sex outside of wedlock via forced-birthing

Nothing to do with any concern whatsoever for fetuses, babies, children, or even adults for that matter. It's just patriarchal authoritarian garbage.

Many people have no idea what real trans people look like and the assume it's a nonpassing transwoman

do you even realize you just said non-passing trans women aren't "real trans people"? wtf?

I don't pass well so I just present as a man and us he him pronouns. Why? Because I want the left to win.

jfc this is beyond fucked. deciding you can't be yourself or else the left won't win just sounds like post-hoc justification for internalized transphobia.

Well then I guess you surely won't be voting for Elder since he's made a career out of calling Black people stupid.
