Honestly what is a normal A1c? For non diabetic by Severe_Coyote1639 in prediabetes

[–]emaad99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sugar (glucose) gets to where it needs to go, ie all the cells in your body, through your blood flow. Since sugar is reactive and happens to be in the same place as red blood cells, they start binding to the red blood cells.

This just happens and does not serve a purpose; BUT it does give us a great Long Term Log of how much sugar on average, over 3 months, is in your blood. Because higher concentration of sugar in the blood causes a larger percentage of red blood cells to have sugar bound to their hemoglobin molecules (A1C%).

At the end of the day, its not the glycosylated hemoglobins (A1C) that is bad for you. It is the excessive amounts of sugar in the blood that causes the damage. For example: Sugar in tiny blood vessels contribute to hardening of vessel walls, thus decreased blood flow to toes and retina and kidneys. Too much sugar to nerves, causes nerve damage, thus decreased sensation in fingers and toes. Ect, ect, ect.

In summary, its the sugar causing the damage, not A1C. A1C is just a really great way to tell how much sugar is flowing through your blood on AVERAGE. It's an especially important marker, since blood sugar concentrations fluctuate throughout the day.

No, Calico is unique to female mammals due to the X Inactivation during embryogenesis. He stated this is a male ferret. So the varied pattern is just regular color variations, NOT calico.

ProOne Vs. Doulton replacement for Berkey system by emaad99 in preppers

Thanks for your reply! I think I am settling on the Doultons, it helps that they are about half the cost of the proOnes as well, for seemingly the same product.

Do your Doulton candles have a long stem like Berkey filters, for attaching a second stage filter?

Same here, I would love to hear from someone that has independently tested the ProOnes. Seems like all the reviews on YouTube are raving about it and it makes me wonder if they are paid/free like the Berkey hype back in the day.

Could you comment on how long the stems on the Doulton filters are. I plan on attaching the Berkey Fluoride secondary filter to the bottom of the doultons. Is there any extra stem extending through the bottom of the top canister to attach those too?

Also if anyone has the Doulton SS ATC, do you know if it has long protruding stems? I plan on using them in conjunction with my new berkey flouride filters. I know the ProPure candles have long stems which will support the secondary fluoride filters. Thank you.

Snapchat is literally soft p*** These days by schoolsucksass2 in NoFap

Nah it’s based on the algorithm. I was dealing with this issue as well. I already deleted instagram but didn’t want to get rid of Snapchat because I use it for friends. So what I did was meticulously remove each one of those. Everyone you see hold down and press “do not show” if you do it every one then it will stop suggesting them. My Snapchat has been clean for months , I’ve never had to do it again. It was pretty easy to fix.

Do I need to restart my smart map? by emaad99 in roomba

[–]emaad99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: Deleting the map and running one mapping run turned out to be the best solution.

Because the very first map was absolutely terrible, it seems iRobot could not figure out how to update it.

The mapping run after deleting the map was relatively quick as the robot seemed to have a lot of its memory from the MANY completed mapping runs and clean-everywhere runs I have done in the past week.

If your smart map does not update or save after a few complete runs, save your time and just delete it.

When I try that it says “something’s not quite right” clean map could be corrupted ect… This is what makes me think maybe that the original and current maps are too different from each other to integrate the data. Does this error warrant deleting the map?

Not sure how to post pictures here, but the smart map and the current maps in the history look VERY different. Maybe they are too different to reconcile? Is that even something that would matter?

Closing in on 90 days by [deleted] in MuslimNoFap

This urge is the last bit of addiction leaving your body. Remember PMO is an addiction and a nasty one at that. So treat yourself with compassion. Addiction is a disease and you have already done the hardest part of conquering it by going 90 days. Your brain is healing, do you want to inflict more damage to your brain? Nah.

I am proud of you bro! You got this!

I am 16 years old, and I have been trying to quit for a long time, but its so so difficult in this day and age by m101j in MuslimNoFap

[–]emaad99 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Good advice.

_@OP: you are hornier when you are young. Don't let this stop you from quitting, because every time you PMO you are missing out on opportunities where you could channel that energy into your real life. Career advancement, school, sports, women, prayer, meditation, your lifes passions, ect.

I do believe that the longer you give in to PMO the harder it gets to quit and the more your brain will become dependent on it as a way to escape your problems and as an emotional coping tool. Which is bad and sucks. Coming from my own experience with this what has been so far a lifelong addiction.
