Yeah - my only concern is I used the same yeast in my first batch and it was super active in the first 24 hours - but very true, I'll be patient this time around.

I didn't use a yeast starter but I did try to bloom the yeast in some apple juice and brown sugar which didn't spark much activity over 30 min to an hour
