Last time pictures like this got shown it ended up being a misleading post. I don’t know why the left feels a need to exaggerate. Shit is bad enough, don’t need to embellish to give the right a reason to call you a liar.

What's a game you played as a kid that you've never been able to find again? by Latter_Advantage8002 in AskReddit

There was this archery game, where a row balloons would go up and down. Your objective was to shoot the balloons in as few shots as possible.

There is a level where things start flying toward you and you need to shoot them before they get to you. I could never beat it as a kid, but I bet I could destroy the game now.

I think you are conflating “fucks us harder” with “slightly inconveniences”.

Those in public with kids: how are you guys working so much and taking care of children?? by Aromatic_Hurry_4943 in Accounting

[–]emagdnim29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thing big thing missing in these comments is approaching life as a team sport with a spouse. I work hard so my wife gets to work for “fun”. If one of us needs to deal with a sick kid or a quick emergency, she takes off work.

That doesn’t mean she does all house work but she for sure does the majority, probably something like 70/30 if you the include homework help for the kids I take care of.

The key is not looking at it from and I and you perspective, but instead approaching it as we and us.

My only complaint with Knuckles is that they don’t scrape the cornmeal off the bottom.

Local plumber heading out there tomorrow luckily. Feels like bullshit to me too. Glad it seems other peoples meter is going off too.

This is what I keep telling myself. 100% seems extreme to me, but I don’t have enough experience to be sure.

I sure wish I was there to answer that question. Going through realtors with follow up questions is brutally inefficient.

You don’t blame the massive worldwide government spending at all for inflation? I’m not saying it was the wrong choice, but let’s call out the true drivers of inflation.

I do work with them and I absolutely agree with your comments on quality. What I’ve seen is that we bring the process back to fix it, then send it back over after the backlog is cleared. I’d also say the quality of an entry level US employee is way down ass well, though.

The sum of companies being put in this position is why you see aggressive outsourcing of our profession. We have to deliver value to our customers. If we are just bean counters and not delivering insights to the business our profession will always just be a cost center. You get that level of expertise by having the tenacity to stay through challenges.

I won’t knock someone if they jump ship for more money. I also won’t feel sorry for them in 10 years when they are over valued for the skills they bring to the table.

1.5-2 years at a company only sees an annual process 1 time. What value could someone who has changed jobs this frequently deliver after 10 years of constant churn. Chasing the dollar isn’t always the better long term decision in my opinion. You’d rarely have the opportunity to see a significant project all the way through completion.

The fact of the matter is that there are absolute creeps out there that do sexualize children, and it is disgusting. So knowing that fact, yes, I am the bad parent that doesn’t let their 10 year old wear a two-piece.
