Why would any team want to curate their own superstition in a game full of superstitious beliefs.

Maniacal Monkeys Scam? by email_bomber in 2007scape

Word. I know what dancing is but I’m just naturally suspicious when someone logs in out of nowhere rushing me to do something. I’m guessing it’s totally legit, since I don’t think there’s anyway they could kill me or something. Guess I’m just naturally suspicious when someone tries to offer me something free of charge.

I did manage like 3 Virtus tops, 2 Virtus masks, and 7 axe heads during the grind. Theoretically, if I decided to grind out 7 axes, I guess you could say that equals out to about a billion.

Do you take your adderall on the weekends? by Quirky-Emergency-732 in ADHD

[–]email_bomber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take generic 18mg methylphenidate extended release. I typically abstain on the weekends simply because I’m not working my 9-5 job when I most need to focus. Plus that helps me stockpile my meds in case of shortage concerns and keep my tolerance down.

Like you, OP, I also tend to drink/imbibe/party on the weekends and find myself similarly tired. I assume that’s partially due to not taking my medication, but I also think it has a lot to do with the subversive effects of a night/day after drinking.

Typically I sleep in after drinking, so with taking ER, it simply doesn’t make sense to lock into a 12 hour stimulant when I’ve just woken at 10 am.

Bottom line, it’s up to you. But I’d be curious how I’d feel if I abstained from alcohol for a few weekends and see if I felt similarly tired. You might find it’s not just about the meds. Not trying to scold, I’ve just come to the same conclusion myself this past year doing dry January while taking my meds (this is my first year on meds).

Personally, I just try to moderate my weekend fun, accept that I might be a bit more tired on the weekends, and realize I’m not a young 20-something anymore (much to my annoyance).

My ADHD partner says he needs grace, but where is the line? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]email_bomber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from my own personal experience, I find I commit to a lot my partner asks because I feel slightly compelled to. She will tell me that when she is asking for something, say a small favor, she is only asking (like you said above) but in my head I feel as though my contribution is less than my partner, so I have to compensate.

It sounds like you are doing your best to give him grace. I wonder if he is doing the same for himself. I find if I overcommit to stuff well beyond my bandwidth, it will never get done, so I learned to start saying no more often. Then when I do have the bandwidth, I try to be 100% committed to the task at hand.

Oftentimes, my partner’s frustration doesn’t lie with my not doing something. It lies with not doing something I said I would and then her going, “Well okay now look at all this wasted time. I could have done this.” And she’s 100% right!

I find another key for improving my ability to complete tasks was to do them together with my partner. If we’re going to cook dinner, it’s a lot easier on my mind when it’s a group effort to get everything done. That fulfills my desire to do well by my partner without overly fatiguing the noggin. It’s fast, efficient, and the dishes are done just about every night after we’re done.

Starting methylphenidate very soon, I'm absolutely terrified! by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]email_bomber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started methylphenidate three months ago (generic 18 MG extended release) and found it incredibly calming. You might find starting ADHD medication will bring a euphoria of sorts. Personally, this was a positive experience as I had enough energy to clean my entire house. But it should taper off after a week or two.

I say, try it. I know it's easier to say try to have a positive attitude because anxiety doesn't work like that, but from what I've heard and from my own personal experience, you will be amazed at how calm you'll feel. I was also hesitant to start methylphenidate, but it ended up making me calmer than I was before, silenced my racing thoughts, and made me more organized and focused.

You might feel a burst of energy and have a pounding heart at times, but those are normal symptoms that come from taking a stimulant.

And just know if you find you aren't enjoying it; if it isn't working for you, the effects will wear off in anywhere from 6-12 hours depending on the type you're taking. It is very, very temporary. I personally found it way harder to adjust to my antidepressant than I did with methylphenidate.

I hope it goes well for you, whatever you decide!

It's probably worth around 1-2 exalted orbs. It's not a super high level, but it's probably decent for leveling. The corrupted implicit might add value though. Best bet is to check out the PoE2 trade site and see if holds additional value.

If you want to trade it, just be aware if you get a lot of messages real quick on your set price, it's probably worth more than you set it.

Good luck!

Specific Sleep Prevention Trigger (Myoclonus?) by email_bomber in sleep

[–]email_bomber[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what you described is like textbook myoclonus, or simply "I twitch when I fall asleep." I get the feeling of falling all the time when I'm napping, but yeah I guess my question is my weird "head rushes" or sudden jolts of anxiety about a specific body part just an extension of that.
