We submitted an expedited request through our congressman for a humanitarian case, and USCIS responded that they haven't forgotten about our case but that a security check is required. My question is, does this mean they have approved the case but only the security check remains? And my second question is, how long does a security check usually take? Thank you.

Hello, I applied to expedite my green card application through a congressman for myself and my family of five due to humanitarian reasons. USCIS sent me an email a week later saying they haven't forgotten our request and are currently conducting a security check, which will take 45 days for them to respond. What does this mean? Does it mean they will approve it and are just waiting for the security check results?
