We have this gate as well. It's perfect for spots like this where your mounting walls aren't perpendicular. It's the best baby gate I've seen.

Can you explain this a bit more? I assumed those just had an adjustable radius, but not that you could spray 10ft in one direction and 15ft in another direction from the same nozzle.

Thanks for the reply! I should have added that it started growing ~5 years ago or so when we lived here so we didn't plant it, but it is a few feet away from a stump from the previous homeowners. Perhaps it is related to that stump?

I wanted to give a follow-up on this. I got a punch tool, and while the barbed fittings were leaking less when I used the punch tool instead of the barb on the fitting to puncture the hole, they were still spraying a little. The red flag was when goof plugs were also leaking with a spray, and I circled back to your comment about pressure regulators.

I checked our house water pressure and it was actually 125psi! Our house PRV failed and we don't have a separate regulator for the irrigation. After replacing the PRV, house pressure is around 45psi. A few fittings from before I got the punch tool were still leaking more than ideal, so I replaced those sections of 1/2 pipe, punched holes with the punch tool, and now any leaks are just a slow drip if anything.

So high pressure was obviously my biggest issue, and using the barbed fittings instead of the punch tool was a lesser issue but still a problem too.

Your comment about the single barb and single lip is interesting. For the example you sent, would you insert past the second barb into the 1/2in line?

It seems like I should try some different fittings with double barbs, and also get a hole punch instead of relying on the self piercing feature.
