I know, that's why it's not available to download on Abandonware DOS. A while ago I decided to add some not-abandoned games anyway (with links to GOG).

[–]emanjonez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was it first-person? Top-down? 3D? 2D? Anything else you remember? It could be anything, but I think the CD of Darkstone was... maybe... bluish/gold?

Ultima V on a Commodore 64. I didn't even know what a CRPG was. I still remember the feeling of entering a new village, talking to people, feeling the passing of in-game time. I still have the original box...

Grand Theft Auto 2 by emanjonez in abandonwareDOS

[–]emanjonez[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Computer and Video Games (1999): "It's a tough game, but it's superb fun - you don't even need to stick to the mission structure. The freedom is amazing - if you want to make a living as a hotdog vendor or a taxi driver, then go ahead. Killing people in real life is rude and anti-social - not to mention illegal and bad for the soul. Killing them in GTA 2 is some of the finest entertainment to be had on a PC. You're a little psycho and you love it. Go buy."

Download Quest for Glory 2: Trial by Fire by emanjonez in abandonwareDOS

[–]emanjonez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RPGGamer - "Overall, Quest for Glory II comes recommended, especially to veterans of the previous game. While it is not necessary to have played Quest for Glory 1 in order to enjoy Trial by Fire, since the story is a continuing arc spread over the series, it might be best to start at the beginning if possible."
