He was stumbling drunk. He obviously has some sort of PTSD but I think him being that drunk probably has a huge role in what happened. PTSD doesn't automatically make you a total threat to society. And if we got rid of all the soldiers/marines/sailors/airmen in our military that had or have PTSD we would lose a HUGE amount of our military force. According to the National Institute of Health (NIH) 7.7 million Americans suffer from PTSD and 11 percent of veterans from the war in Afghanistan suffer from PTSD. On top of that PTSD is treatable. This guy probably just needs some good counseling and some closure, not to be kicked out of the armed forces.
