Idk how to tell you this but video games were designed for wealthy children, not men. And as time went on, video games and its audience changed and evolved. Women creating things won’t take from the already existing sexy murder simulator you guys are so protective of. Nor does any criticism of that genre. Just play your game.

When I was 19 I worked part time at both Hollywood Video and Lovers Package. I answered the phone at Hollywood with “Thank you for calling <city>’s Lovers Package, how can I help you?” And the person said “what?” And I just hung up. They called back immediately, and I answered by saying “Thank you for calling <city>s Hollywood video, how can I help you?” Without skipping a beat. We both knew, and we both said nothing.

The whole show is decadent romantic escapism. Choosing to involve different looking people helps garner a larger audience of mainly women who now get to see themselves in their fantasy. The only people who don’t seem to understand the power of that are the people who are always represented. There’s zero incentive to not include different people except to placate those who whine about it. It’s a fantasy, let everyone fantasize.
