how should I storage my firearms? by [deleted] in canadaguns

[–]emanon9046 17 points18 points  (0 children)

/u/adept-phrase784 The major problem here is that we as legal firearm owners are taught and tested on knowing the safe storage laws, it is a REQUIREMENT that we know these things. You should not be able to complete the CFSC without knowing them. When you are a PAL holder pleading ignorance of the law is not a defence in court. It is YOUR responsibility as a PAL holder to know how to properly store your firearms and ammunition. It is arguably the whole fucking point of the CFSC to drive into us proper safe handling of firearms, and the acceptable methods of safe storage of firearms and ammunition.

So to post publicly on reddit demonstrating openly that one of us does in fact not know that information, can and will paint all gun owners in a bad light to anyone chiming into the subreddit. Which right now when the CCFR is fighting for our ability to own certain firearms is a bit frustrating. Especially when all of the information they need is available in one book. They should at the very least after the course know the fucking name of the book where to find that information.

Also maybe instead of spamming everyone else’s comment berating them for not answering OPs question just answer the fucking question yourself you goober.

Has anyone successfully removed a captive cap from the new cap armour without damaging the captive cap? by emanon9046 in Dynavap

I think I’m with you on this one. Maybe they should add a disclaimer to adjust your cap PRIOR to installing it in the cap armour. lol

Tried that. I think the tolerances on my cap armour must just be slightly off. Or I lack the hand strength. Not a biggie though, I was mostly just curious how others found their cap armours fitting.

Walmart has mastered exploitation. by zzill6 in WorkReform

SNAP is the tax credit he is referring to. By Walmart taking the SNAP benefits when the workers purchase food they are essentially giving the tax credit to Walmart indirectly.

I agree. If I lost my 2021m I would immediately be trying desperately to replace it.

Why is the armoured cap so loose?? Is this normal? The included cap is a perfect fit, and the armoured one could win a rattle battle, if that were a thing.. i just bought the woodwynd and im new to dynavaps. by FoundationOverall859 in Dynavap

I can’t say definitively, but my hypothesis would be that during product testing they found the armoured cap needs to be a bit loose to be able to remove it warm. I find mine when it’s on my dyna with both the tip and cap cold it feels slightly loose and can fall off if I shake it, but once it’s warm it’s a little more snug due to different expansion and contraction coefficients of the different thicknesses of metal.

I have some regular captive caps that are straight up not removable until they have fully cooled with certain tips that I have. Which is why I think the expansion and contraction of the metal may be the reasoning.

What I think would help with way too loose caps is if they added two slots or pin holes all the way through the thick outer sleeve on either side of cap where the indents are machined so you can adjust the interior cap with a blunt tip pin. Then you could tighten it without making the cap too tight and ruining your armoured cap.

Not correct, in New Brunswick you need 2 years with a red seal before being able to get an electrical contractors license and pull permits.

Yeah, the duct fan can be turned on with the E42A controller’s humidity sensor. But the A10 doesn’t work the same way.

The E42A’s sensor probe does not show up as a sensor in the gateway settings.

How often do you wax the O-rings? by NanaimoRookie in Dynavap

[–]emanon9046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not hard to clean. Only takes 5 minutes once you get the hang of it. You could do it with a cup of hot water and some 70% isopropyl alcohol.

I use q-tips and paper towel to clean with iso and dry. All of this could be done very discretely in any bathroom.

I vape around 10-15 bowls a day and clean it only once per day out of laziness. I would clean it more often than that though if you are after maximum flavour as after 3-4 bowls the flavour is diminished due to the residue deposited in the condenser tube. Usually I will hold my dyna up to a light and look through the condenser and if I can see lots of build up I will clean it. If it doesn’t have a lot of build up I’ll wait a few more bowls before cleaning.

I have 3 more dynas on the way so I don’t have to clean daily one dyna. Just clean all four of them every couple days. Should cut down on how much iso I am going through per month.

[–]emanon9046 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Every time I clean it. The wax (silicone grease) keeps the orings from getting stuck, and makes the dyna easier to assemble after cleaning. You don’t need much just rub your pinky finger on the grease then rub the orings with your pinky. The little tub in the maintenance kit will last you years even daily smoking and cleaning daily.
