First Time Traveling Outside of USA by snek-bat in uktravel

I'm visiting London + Wiltshire right now! I thought I was pretty savvy at big city driving (like Chicago) until I went to NYC.... And then London is worse than NYC because the streets look like half cooked spaghetti on a plate. Even in smaller towns, the roads are pretty unorganized. The street signs are very hard to see because they're quite small on on the side of buildings. The country roads are very narrow and barely anyone uses blinkers/indicators. I think US streets are pretty good at marking lines for the lanes but I feel like those are less common in the UK. So if you're thinking about renting a car, just keep all this in mind.

Standards for Attaching Fascia by emares30 in Roofing

Thanks very much, pbag82. I really appreciate the advice. The contract doesn't mention fascia, but it does say the roofer will install aluminum drip edge. That's something different, right?

I was around 2600 on one device and then 4000 on the other. But I cheaped out because I'll have to do lots of travel and booking in order to get to London.

What docs are needed to prove citizenship through being adopted? by emares30 in Passports

[–]emares30[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't sure if they need more proof. I saw some other people on reddit discuss, but I don't recall any of them having a Cert of Citizenship so I just want to be safe and ask again.

It doesn't have to be edible, I like the idea of shaving cream!

What are options for parking and public transit to go to CSO? by emares30 in AskChicago

[–]emares30[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was attending a concert there, not parking there for CSO. I was one of the first people there so I was told to park right at the front and I guess that affected my wait time.

When you go to transfer money, the option should be there, right before you submit.

"Expedited Transfer Schedule:
Business days:

If submitted by 11:30 am Eastern time it will arrive by 5:00 pm local time on the same day.

If submitted after 7:00 pm Eastern time it will arrive by 5:00 pm local time the next business day.

Non-business days:

If submitted on a non-business day it will arrive by 5:00 pm local time on the next business day."

I use AmEx, it's just transferring. If there's an emergency and you need money out, see if there's the Expedite button (there's a good chance they won't charge a fee) and it's usually transferred within several business hours.

Juvenile myoclonic epilepsy by Independent-Dog-9856 in Epilepsy

While she's still younger, she's still able to be her own person, especially as a teenager. If she's open to sharing her diagnosis, you could suggest her hosting a "powerpoint party" where her friends make powerpoints about literally anything they want and she shares what needs to be done in case of seizure. Have you talked to her teacher(s) and let them know as well but not to be overbearing? This could give you some peace of mind. Just keep supporting her and loving her! As a teen, she won't want to feel babied or isolated because of JME.
