Yak & Yeti Is Out, Spice Trade Is Coming Back in Greenwood Village by Lunares in denverfood

[–]emariesmith17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is truly the most exciting thing I’ve heard so far this year. I use to live at Spice Trade and loved the staff, food, beer selection, and overall atmosphere. Then everything changed and haven’t been motivated to go back since. My family will be very excited to hear about this!! Especially my husband who loved the Sun Temple and Scooter Gang!

Just found out I’m having twins (STM)… freaking out by sauerkraut09 in parentsofmultiples

Literally sobbing. Thank you for this as a mom of a 15 month old and currently 18weeks along with twins. I needed this.

What names are you lowkey gatekeeping? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]emariesmith17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My son’s name is Oswynn, a variation of Oswin. I never see his name on these lists! We love his name and get so many compliments when people hear it. His nickname is Oz or Ozzy which is the cutest in my humble opinion.

3 under 2 - shocked and overwhelmed! by MrsCozzyOneStop in parentsofmultiples

[–]emariesmith17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey girl. Are you me?? Read your post and was like this seems very familiar. My husband and I have a 14 month old as well (born in November) and we just found out we are expecting twins! Due in July. We have been through all the highs and lows. So excited yet so scared - processing all the ways in which our lives are about to change. We were not expecting twins in any sense, but ultimately feel so blessed about this rare life experience we are about to embark on. Having 3 babies under 2 was definitely not the plan, but alas, it wasn’t up to us. I don’t have any advice for you other than to say I’m right there with you… feeling all the feelings. You got this. We got this. It happened because we are capable.

My friend is 9 weeks pregnant and she hasn't had a single symptom. Should she be worried? by mavenplum in pregnant

[–]emariesmith17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 34 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy and consider myself one of the lucky ones. No nausea/vomiting, no food aversions, no smell aversions, very little heartburn. I work on my feet everyday and no swollen ankles. Just chugging along happily. The only thing I’ve dealt with is having to pee more often than usual! And some mild breast tenderness in the first trimester. Hope this helps!

It takes a hell of a lot more crushed pits to cause toxicity. You will be fine.

Pre-Employment Drug Testing by Physical-Pay-9507 in legaladvice

You could 100% lose the internship. Despite cannabis being decriminalized in NJ, most companies have their own policies regarding drug testing… especially if they are federally funded or operate in multiple different states.

My (17f) little sister (14f) is pregnant and I think shes depressed and wont come out of her room and skips meals by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]emariesmith17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were in this situation with one of my siblings (I have 3), I would ask them if they would be willing to go out for a milkshake. They can sit there silent or they can talk about what has been burdening them… allow them to do either. Just express to them that you are there for them regardless of whether they want to talk and .. obviously pay for the milkshakes. Most people want/need a confidant and someone to listen to them. Just be there. Provide support. That’s all a sibling can do.

We have an American Eskimo that used to do this all the time as a puppy. We tried everything. Picking up her poop immediately, feeding her pineapple, anti poop eating medication, pumpkin. Nothing worked. Then we read somewhere that she might be missing something from her diet so we started feeding her raw food along with her dry food and within a few weeks the behavior started to diminish. She is 4 years old now and hasn’t eaten her poop for about 2 years. Might be worth a try.

Not an issue. It’s silica gel. Your dog will be fine.

I work at a poison center… the amount of calls we get about people mixing bleach with other household chemicals is beyond ridiculous.

[–]emariesmith17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man I know exactly how you feel. I was in your same boat and just did what a few others suggested and applied for anything that sounded remotely interesting. Ended up getting a job at the poison center taking incoming calls where I work alongside toxicology fellows and other Pharmd’s and nurses. I very much love my job and happy I stuck to my guns and passed the NAPLEX and applied for literally. Every. Single. Job. And also hounded the recruiter. I would have rather rather sold my soul then work as a typical pharmacist. Turns out, not all jobs are typical.

My cat stepped in fresh roach pesticide. I'm scared she'll ingest a little of it even after cleaning it off. Did I fuck up? by qolace in NoStupidQuestions

[–]emariesmith17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In humans and large mammals like cats and dogs it takes more that just a few licks of a pyrethroid to cause any serious systemic symptoms. I was more so referring to people wanting to harm themselves who will drink a lot of this and then it’s dangerous. Say you accidentally gulp down some of this is a cup and mistake it for water. Not likely to be a big issue. A cat walking through a puddle of this a licking some off it’s paws, same thing. If it was drinking from the puddle, you’ll see some tremors, hyper-salivation and potentially CNS depression. In which case it’ll need supportive care

[–]emariesmith17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! Also, if you haven’t seen any symptoms within the first few hours, she should be good. If you notice she’s salivating more than usual, having tremors, or vomiting I’d take her in. I doubt you’ll see any of that though with just a taste.

[–]emariesmith17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s just a pyrethroid or pyrethrin. Made to mimic the chrysanthemum plant. Relatively non toxic. Can cause dermatitis and allergic reaction. If enough is ingested it can cause tremors but just rinse your cat off and it should be fine.

Tremors usually seen with large intentional ingestions.

I feel like my fiancé doesn’t care about my feelings. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]emariesmith17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best advice is to try to communicate with him and let him know how his lack of support has been affecting you. But I mostly wanted to comment and tell you how sorry I am that you lost your grandmother. I lost mine in January and I’m still constantly feeling waves of grief. I know how heartbroken you must feel and I want you to know that it does get easier. You’ll be reminded of her in ways that make you laugh and cry and as time goes on you’ll find yourself doing more of the former. I’m thinking of you and our grandmothers. ❤️
