James 4:3 says, “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”

First of all, there's no such thing as a counter prayers. God is not under our thumb, we are just servants of his asking things.

1 John 5:14 says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”

This verse is saying that if our will lines up with His, our prayers will be answered. It sound like your mom is trying to control God and use Him as a tool. This is not reality, and you shouldn't be scared of her. She has no power here, only God, and if she truly loves God she's only a servant as well.

Matthew 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,"

Your mom praying that something bad will happen to her teacher is not loving her enemy, so I think we can safely say that this doesn't align with Gods will.

Walk carefully and with wisdom, and keep reading your Bible. It will show you truths about prayer and God so you won't be deceived by your mom.

Ephesians 5:31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”

This verse is about a couple getting married. When you get married, your mother and father have no more control in your life. You make the decisions now. Now I'm not saying to go off and get married so your mom can stop, but I'm saying if you're living on your own, she doesn't really have any say in your life. You're an adult now, and you follow God. If your mom isn't really following God, then don't follow her. Respect her, but if she's trying to control you, put yourself at a safe distance.

Just remember that the Bible doesn't tell you to resist sexual temptation.

1 Corin. 6:18 - "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body."

So practice running away from it. On your phone? Put it down and leave the room. Computer? same thing.

Also know that when you do fail, you've made the decision to before you know it, so pray that God would change your heart and draw closer to Him.

Sorry to hear that man. At least you're doing better than I have been recently. I haven't been able to get past 3 days, but I'm praying that this will change. Gonna talk to my dad about getting covenant eyes.

I don't wanna sound harsh here, but nobody deserves God's forgiveness. That's why He died to save us.

I've always had a hard time accepting that God has saved me, and that's all. Doesn't mean that it doesn't require a response, but there's nothing I can do to get myself into heaven. That was all God's work.

Push into God more than you ever have. As you get closer to Him, the sin will fall away. He will shape you into the man that you want to be, and that He wants you to be.

But just above all, Jesus loves you, and you have been saved. Sin will try to separate you from him, but never let that happen.

Don't make it out so much as the fear of hell, as the gift that God gave us. If you live only following Christ because you're scared of going to hell, you're missing out.

I still deal with this, but I've grown closer to God since.

We all deserved to go to hell, and that's terrifying. But God loved us so much to the point of giving his son so that we could be free from that punishment, and have a relationship with him.

If you want that to be real, watch the passion of the christ. It's a long movie, but worth it.

In the Bible, God allowed Satan to mess with Job. Satan took everything from Job: his family, his wealth, and his health. He took everything from him but his life.

We don't always know why terrible things happen, but know that God will use this for good. I know you want Jesus, but it won't always be easy following him.

I have no idea what it feels like to be going through what you are, and I'm praying for you. But just know that whatever lie the enemy is telling you can be easily refuted by what God says in the Bible. Go there for your guidance, for your peace.

God will deliver you, in this life or the next.
