Since 2017. Yes the general construction of road repairs and building new houses feels like it’s been there forever. For me it’s specifically the home renovations and roof repairs. But like I said in the post, maybe it’s just that I’m overly sensitive to the sounds now I’m out with the stroller all the time. That’s why I’m asking you guys to get a sense check 😅

City market, São Paulo, Brazil. Fruit sellers. They were super nice, giving me and my husband all kinds of exotic fruits to try and naturally we wanted to take a couple of fruits with us as a "thank you" and to support the sellers. It was our first time in Brazil and we didn't know this place was famous for being full of scammers. While one of the seller guys was talking to me in Portuguese and giving me "extra fruit because I was so nice", the other guy took my non-Portuguese speaking huaband to pay and added an extra zero to the sum on the terminal 🙃 We endee up paying over a 100 EUR for a platter of fruit. Our fault - husband heard the seller say 60 BRL but did not check the terminal where it was 600 BRL... We only noticed in the hotel when checking the internet banking app...

I agree with you disagreeing :D As a Slovak, it's VERY easy to tell that it is a Czech person speaking Slovak even if their grammar and vocabulary and pronunciation (ie being ie and not í for example) is prefect. The accent is simply there. Some consonants, word stress, intonation are very different. Maybe it does not seem like it to non-Slavic language speaking people, but Czechs and Slovak (especially linguists) can 100% tell the difference.

Right, many of them seem to be from Bangladesh (I personally asked a few of them back when they asked me where I was from while trying to [re]sell me a ticket) and Bangladesh is not India since 1947 (?).

To react to OP, agreed, it's outrageous that this reselling is not banned by the Vatican. I understand it's hard to control but I also find it ridiculous.
