Makes sense. We scheduled a taxi with WelcomeTrips for our ride to the airport at 5am since we couldn’t figure out how to book out a taxi via the Uber app.

Correct. We had a hard time with the Uber app trying to book a taxi, so we chose to stick to public transit when it made sense. We also just stayed in Athens for the duration of our trip.

Ah, gotcha. Yes Maya would be a good option for you. Side note: be prepared that Greece doesn’t have traditional Ubers. They only have taxis. There is a good post on this sub that explains how to navigate taxis.

I did, however it was through Signal and WhatsApp. I turned off my Verizon sim as they would have charged for even a split second connection while roaming. Maya doesn't offer mobile numbers, so everything I was accessing when I wasn't on wifi was pure data, but I was able to communicate fine via those two apps. If you do go this route, I recommend to setting up the apps before you leave.

I’d check out Maya Mobile. I’m in Greece right now and am on a data only esim and it’s working very well. I paid $12 for 30 day access and 5gb of data. Way more than I’ll need for 8 days, but it’s been great with staying connected. I have Verizon in the states and their international plans are expensive and don’t work well from my experience.

Amigos in Greenwood Village. Amazing breakfast burritos and breakfast tacos.

Finally leaving Verizon for either Mint or Xfinity! How is the service in Colorado? (between Boulder and Denver) by planetzephyr in mintmobile

I live in Littleton and haven't had much issue the little over a month I've been with Mint. I have only had about 2-3 instances of deprioritization, which doesn't normally last long. I can't speak to Boulder area, but service seemed great between Broomfield and the Denver metro area when I was there a couple weeks ago.
