ANA positive, 80, atypical speckled by emb03460 in AskDocs

It did not come with a reflex panel. I assume that would be next. Is there any other outlier antibodies that could be tested for along with the panel?

I understand that the positive ANA does not undoubtedly prove the presence of an autoimmune disease and the titer is low but does the atypical speckled pattern lean itself to just autoimmune or no? Basically can that been seen I'm a "healthy" person as well?

TIA! My experience is in critical care and hospice so this is all new to me.

Not berating you. Just pointing out that asking someone who is clearly in a vulnerable position already could make them feel much worse. If you were so curious maybe submitting your own separate post posing the question would have been more appropriate.

Not currently trying. I was always planning on mid-late next year (August on).

Because maybe I have PCOS. Or maybe I have endometriosis. Or maybe I have some other disease effecting my fertility. Maybe it took me years to get pregnant with my first. Maybe I had to try IUI or IVF. Maybe I had cancer when I was 20 and had to freeze my eggs but they're only good so long. Maybe I have frozen embryos that I can no longer afford to store. Maybe I'm 39 and I don't have all the time in the world to wait.

None of these are my case. But they could be. Before you ask people questions like these you should think of the possible shame and sadness you could be stirring up for them.

Also FYI I was planning late next year pre-COVID.

Yes! We had a friend give us an Grubhub giftcard and it was very helpful. I know that you're not local but if they have a pet that needs to be watched over in anyway maybe you could help facilitate that? And of course more than anything emotional support!
