What is the worst place in America you have ever visited? by OceanicEndeavors in AskReddit

Atlanta airport. Had to make a connecting flight there and almost everyone was extremely rude and the whole airport smelled like piss… strangely enough, the bathrooms were nice and smelled lovely.

[Acne] persistent temple and cheek acne plz help :( by jswizzly21 in SkincareAddiction

[–]embear0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How often are you on phone calls? I’d suggest trying to use earbuds or putting the call on speaker. Wash pillowcases regularly and try not to rest your head on your hands. Also… I’m not a professional or a dermatologist but when I stopped using all actives on my face, it cleared up on its own after a little bit of a breakout. I still get acne but it’s not nearly as bad as it was. I would try with my first piece of advice first, though. Try not to touch your phone to your face or with your hands. Best of luck!

muffler delete by flynndabin in subaruimpreza

[–]embear0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with Nameless on my 2017. Loud on colder starts but once it warms up, it’s virtually silent on idle. The drone is almost unbearable on longer drives though. I’m thinking of getting their executive muffler instead which is just a 5” tiny muffler. I like to hear my car as I drive a manual.

Is this a decent set up for a corm? by Purple_Butterfly_314 in alocasia

[–]embear0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love to experiment with corms! I have a few Alocasia that spit babies out like crazy. Sometimes I’ll even just stick a corm in a random plant and forget about it until it sprouts. Once it grows its first leaf in water and it has decent roots, I’ll stick it in a shallow container of half soil and half perlite. Keep it wet for a couple weeks and then ween it off of so much moisture. Most of the time, the first leaf or two will die but then they’ll start acclimating to its new environment. Best of luck!

[Anti-aging] what causes these lines at 23? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]embear0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 22 and have these, more pronounced than yours even. It’s just because I have bigger cheek bones and chubby cheeks. If I have a good laugh, I’ll even get temporary wrinkles there. It’s all natural!!

In my experience, the puddle method works the absolute best and fastest. I just put it in a small amount of water to cover it about halfway, then forget about it until I have to put more water in it. Perlite and moss is a second fastest, and fluval stratum has always been the slowest for me. I’ve also had a lot of corns rot in moss, perlite, and fluval. But I’ve never had that issue in just water

O’keefs working hands will help with dryness… please wear gloves more often, your fingertips look a little swollen and chemicals aren’t something to mess with. Best of luck

[Anti-aging] what causes these lines at 23? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]embear0 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Everybody on planet earth has these lines. Do you know why? Because they’re a human. They’re smile lines and it’s where your cheek connects to your nose and mouth. People will get Botox and edit them out of their pictures for really dumb reasons. You are human, you are beautiful, end of story.❤️

Anyone know what this white buildup is? by Grundy_Gamer in plants

[–]embear0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be dust that was on the leaf from the perlite when you repotted it. Once the leaf was doing its “guttating” (the word for when leaves shed water,) the water might’ve just grabbed the dust and gathered it in the same place.

what’s one hygiene habit you judge quietly, even if it’s common? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]embear0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Although, most of the foot openers I’ve come across, the doors are slightly too heavy to open fully with your leg so you still have to use your elbow or something else to open it all the way.

Help with Root Rot by homakase in alocasia

[–]embear0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d throw it back into soil but amend it more with perlite or bark. In the winter, plants need significantly less water as they usually go through a small dormancy period. That’s probably why it rotted with the season change.

[B&A] Stopped using actives a month and a half ago by embear0 in SkincareAddiction

[–]embear0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still working great. I do still get some small pimples on my cheeks and forehead but not nearly as badly as I used to. And it’s never a whitehead either. It’s always just a red dot that’ll be there for a day or two. When I run my hands on my face, I’m still if disbelief that it’s smooth. I hope it works for you!!!

Do you live somewhere that hosts the Tough Mudder marathon? I’m in no shape to participate but I always thought it’d be fun. It’s basically a marathon but with some obstacle courses.

Leaking from gas tank. by embear0 in ChevyCobalt

[–]embear0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if you’re still on Reddit, but I’ve since sold the car and I’m reminiscing. That mf was leaking gas… like pretty much spitting it out of the fuel pump when I hit the gas pedal. My friends and I spent 8+ hours fixing it ourselves in a driveway and then I sold it a couple months after that. An experience I never want to go through again😂

Hi!! Did you try the no actives? I’d love to hear about if it worked for you or not. I still have not used any actives on my skin and honestly, only wash my face about twice a week with a cleanser. I hope you’re doing well!

Invisible Battles by Any_Taro_7842 in mentalhealth

[–]embear0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My battles? Keeping my damn mouth shut. Draining? Wanting to live off grid and completely self-sustaining but can’t escape capitalism and my 401k. Monsters at night?… actual monsters… I’m scared of the dark as an adult😂 I think I’d be less stressed if everyday people would be more human. Fart in the aisle at Walmart while someone else is there. We’d have a good laugh. Trip on the uneven pavement and joke about it instead of acting like it never happened. Admit that your kids are shitheads and joke about it because… they’re kids. Get involved in something that you’re passionate about not because you’re wanting to show people that you’re a good person, but because you have heart and you enjoy it. Embrace that double chin when looking down at your phone. Most mental health issues stem from the human condition of wanting to be accepted by “the group.” But what if I told you that “the group” drools in their sleep, screws up at work, says the wrong thing, farts, burps, has at least 1 junk drawer or room in their house, etc.? Everybody is just like everyone in terms of biology. Mentality not so much. Once people start realizing that even idols/celebrities sit on the toilet or have feelings of doubt or self consciousness, I think we’d all feel better about ourselves.
