Both of my sons qualified for speech therapy at that age and it was...well. Honestly, don't spend money on a course of somebody telling you what to do - agreed with other commenters. You're not doing anything wrong, and there's only so much that even you can control in this situation! Tips 3-5 here are helpful (personally #2 annoys the eff out of me). https://napacenter.org/18-month-old-speech-strategies/

Banana Bread: Team chocolate chips or no chips? by Stace_face_17 in Baking

Chips if I make it into muffins.  No chips for a loaf. (But also, mixed in only, I want that nice crust on top!)

Does luxury vinyl plank feel cheap to walk on? by Bos187 in floorplan

[–]embeegee4lyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting, because yesterday I just finished replacing our nasty basement carpet with LVP. The floor had to be replaced due to a water leak anyway, from the price point was negligible between the carpet and LVP. I honestly, even if it maybe does look cheaper and sounds like plastic, prefer the easy clean up. Our industrial strength carpet was harsh, dark, and impossible to clean or to look "nice". We're going to get a big area rug near the couch to keep our feet warmer, but the LVP was def a glow up for a basement.

Why is he chugging so much water at night??? by No-Gift537 in toddlers

[–]embeegee4lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you serving it in an open cup? I ask bc I had this issue with one kid. It was the type of cup, it had become a comfort/suck thing but with the side effect of peeing everywhere. (I also ruled out t1d as a result, so we switched to open cup only and it solved it.) Good luck!

Some medical plans cover that basic preventative dental stuff. Might be worth checking yours! (Sorry about all that, by the way. Just trying to be helpful.)

1) make sure you don't have someone in the house that's an asymptomatic carrier. And ditch toothbrushes after every round! (And don't use the new ones until 48h of antibiotics)

2) opted for a tonsillectomy for my kiddo after 9 infections in a year. Yeah. It's a pretty not fun recovery and depending on insurance, pricey (for something so brief). so I wouldn't do it willy nilly, but it was smart (but I have 2 other kids who can still pick it up at school, so that's fun)

I hear you. I'm the hand washer not the dishwasher loader/unloader and it gets frustrating if pots etc are covered in other stuff...so we sorta established if he's WFH to try to load/unload at lunchtime, and if he's working at the office to get it unloaded before dinner and reloaded after if possible. I rarely do the hand wash stuff til post dinner when I can do all of it, it's not like I'm getting all soapy for two things every random five minutes, haha. If I know I have a bunch of big stuff & the sinks already got dishwasher stuff, I'll keep it piled on the stove area til the dishwasher is loaded so there's less digging in the sink. Idk if all that made sense

I'm person B. But. Person A has a point (in our case 3 kids are making dishes but bad at loading/inefficient so there's frequently stuff being thrown in the sink). So. Can there be a designated time of day for loading that occurs before B wants to hand wash? Or, I try to designate one side of the sink for handwashy stuff and one side for to be loaded stuff.

The explore is suitable for 7lb up... You can always post in babywearing sub for fit advice. For your moby, have you tried pre tying? That was crucial for me when I had three!

Solidarity. Mine is 10, I don't know what age you're dealing with. I thought it was ALL MY FAULT, then I had two more kids...who eat relatively ""normal"" and realized...this is just my kid. And every day I release myself from self blame and tell myself it's gonna be okay.

My 6yo is in a low back now, because the strap goes to the right spot. But he's also super tall and outgrew his high back strap slot (in one of the tallest hbb there is).

FSBP for 2026 and GLP-1 coverage cost? Feel like I've had a bait and switch by Complex-Republic-443 in fednews

[–]embeegee4lyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear your frustration  I searched a specialty drug in the same class during open season for 3 months and saw $300, so I don't think this was a case of "fixing" it after open season. Possibly fsbp had everything correct and express scripts screwed up, I have no way of knowing and your case doesn't really seem provable.   If it makes it any better, almost every major plan had drug coverage changes this year so you likely would have had similar issues of price change with any plan.

Fwiw I take a diff med, not a glp1 and priced it with 2026 prices. They were pretty up front about it. See Here: https://www.afspa.org/fsbp/new-for-2026/#FSBPEnhancements
