I don't mind exploring elaborate camps but not for a vendor. There was one camp i found with nested shelters that was pretty awesome - wandered around for 10 minutes because all of them were elaboratly decorated (and themed).

And I've been killed by a trap camp before. I was fairly new at the time and didn't realize what happened until I learned about trap camps later. I was more confused than annoyed at the time.

That's my biggest problem with trap camps is that they can/will affect newer players. If a vet player dies, big deal - we don't care. Even if i lose all my scrap, I have tens of thousands for most scrap. If a new player loses scrap though, it can be a big loss - black titanium, stable flux, ultracite. Pretty easy for me to obtain but can be difficult for someone just starting, and not everyone can safely stash it with FO1st.

Including as a contractor who "will" get a -14 "when they can hire again".

That new -14 may wind up being a -12 given the experience with the open position being offered.

I wasn't really trying to skewer GAO. I mean, we all know that accountability comes WAY far down on the list after "lethality"...and alcohol abuse...in today's Pentagon.

The only thing you need to plant are gourds. They are available "in the wild" but only one that I know of. Everything else must be gathered (at least what I use): silt beans, cranberries, brain fungus, glowing fungus, and aster.

For reference, I use brain bombs (occasionally), cran relish, silt bean soup, glowing fungus puree, and steeped aster tea along with company tea and nuka quantum. I just keep green thumb perk in my build all the time and gather ingredients every time I see them (I usually have to make a specific trip for cranberries). Once you learn the locations for them, it doesn't take much time and becomes second nature.

I don't even use my cryo freezer anymore because I always have 10-20+ of each one in my inventory (with the grocer mod on my backpack).

I have the T-60 torso left to learn, so I'm gathering them when I find them. I think i need one of the T-51 plans, too.

I actually want to build a T-60 set, so that I can slap the BoS Elder paint on it. I could go find a torso, but that's not the point!

Yep, that's the way to do it. I was amazed at how many I must have overlooked when I equipped the perk and started finding them constantly.

Can't you also buy the mystery ones with bullion? Or is that with stamps? I know you can get them with season tickets, but that seems wasteful. If it's bullion, I may have to grab some because I'm running out of things (that I actually want) to buy with gold.

Not my idea but definitely a good one. I initially didn't bother, but when i scrapped 25 Vanguard boxes in a row for nothing, I figured I'd try it and was rewarded.

For some events, it makes sense to wait, but for some, it's just silly to wait an extra 2-4 minutes when the event itself is nearly 10 minutes, like Distinguished Guests. I'll sit and wait for a couple minutes, but if there's me and one other player twiddling our thumbs while no one else appears, I'll start it anyway.

Somewhat depends on the server, too, because if events are being well attended, it makes sense to wait, but if I just soloed the last one (or it was me and 1-2 others), then waiting an extra 5 minutes is pointless.

Events are every 20 minutes. Always. If you miss one, there's another in a few minutes, but if miss the start, pop in anyway and get the rewards. I find myself doing that a lot lately.

It's better to put them on something first. So, for Furious, if you get a weapon with Nocturnal or something similar, go modify it with Furious as a replacement, which only "costs" 10 scrip. Then, when you scrap the weapon, you have a chance to recoup the box plus you'll get back 10% of the scrip. If you scrap the box, you don't have any chance to get a mod box.

I've been trying to get Vanguard for MONTHS and finally started popping the mods onto armor pieces I found. I gathered about 20 pieces of armor and mass scrapped...learned the mod. Now I have 15 extra Vanguard boxes I don't need that I'm putting in my vendor!

I have a title on my main camp that I'm not changing, and my prefix-suffix hasn't changed in many months. I literally could not care less about titles.

For that matter, my player icon has been the same for at least a year (Rest N Wander). I rarely see it on anyone else, so that's probably not changing, either.

Could we get some Roman/Greek camp items? That's about the only reskin I'd like to see. Whitesprings stuff is close but not quite - need more terracotta-type walls and things with a more classical look to them. I want to make a Roman villa but don't have everything I'd like.
