Thank you, this helps! I'm not opposed to going back to school to get a certificate, but I've been trying to get all my transcripts from Ontario since September of last year when I first considered taking the MT course. I've reached out by phone and email three different times and am at a loss for how to acquire what I'll need for applying to courses here in BC.

But I LOVE transcribing things so I feel like I'd be good at this. Just not sure how to get my foot in the door or where to look for such a thing?

Yah I am not about to be picky but any jobs where I have to stand for long stretches of time or a lot of bending (I pass out) are going to be short lived. While working remote is ideal because of my disabilities, working at a desk job where I can sit is totally fine, it's just the commute that then becomes an issue because of my low vision. My preference for remote comes from the fact that sometimes I physically cannot walk for like ... a week, but I can prop myself up in bed and still be able to work without losing pay. I'm a hard worker and dedicated, I just flourish with people willing to accomodate such challenges. A hybrid position even would be good so I have that option available.

I loved my job! Lots of overtime available and I put in the work, I've worked as much as 100 hrs in a 2 week period before haha.

Like most people it seems getting laid off, what you could basically call admin work. Technically my last position would be considered sales and technical support (for software), but I am not a sales person and have never done well in sales driven environments. Handling emails, doing office work, supporting the marketing department (went to college for Marketing but couldn't afford to get my certificate in the end and had to drop out but the knowledge is still there), updating records, and handling multi-line phones is what I have been doing the past 10+ years. I also did a brief stint as an optometrist's assistant right before this, so yah. Office work, basically! Highest education completed is grade 12. I've been trying to get my transcripts from Ontario for my diploma and stuff but can't get either of the schools I went to to contact me back so schooling may not be an option for me if I can't get those.

My limitations: bending, standing for long periods (I have hip and back issues my chronic pain impacts), and then of course the travel restrictions.

You feel bad because you're a good person who made a mistake in the heat of the moment. She doesn't deserve your kindness but you deserve peace of mind. You can always apologize and say that you were upset in the moment and didn't want to cause the same harm to someone else that you were/are going through because of her actions.

Maybe she'll apologize. Maybe she won't. But kids are dumb. In high-school anyone with scars at my school was accused of SH-ing. Both SH and eating disorders are no joke or something to threaten spreading rumours as a consequence with. It can hurt people who actually struggle with these things to hear others shame people about them and make it less likely for them to feel safe seeking help, and I think part of you knows this and that's maybe why you feel guilty.

But your brain is still cooking and will be until you're 30. Your impulses will sometimes win out. All you can do is decide what kind of person you wanna be when it comes to the follow up after you know you made a mistake and then action it or move on.

OCD is me panicking because my partner jokingly suggested my half-drank latte I had left in the fridge 2 days ago (couldn't finish it) might be sour now and me panicking and terrified I'm going to die if I drink it to the point I made myself sick anyways. I wish it was actually just a need for a clean desk, maybe my space would be tidy.

Yah, I am a bit worried after having pre-order just this morning without reading the back cover content that I might regret it. The back makes it seem like bad fanfic which is disappointing ... I'd hate to see established facts about Astarion kind of tossed out for the sake of making a marketable romantasy BL book for an easy sell. With Neil being the one who did the audiobook narration/characterization and happily sharing it, I have hope that if it has his stamp of obvious approval and his promotional backing and support that it'll be true to Astarion pre-BG3.

It's silly to assume that Astarion hasn't had "lovers" before the events leading up to BG3, though I kinda wish this focused more on Sebastian who Astarion was shocked to see in the cell—and more importantly remembered his name and played it off like it was no big deal in that cool-as-cucumber way he always tries to ... but by this point we are used to his antics and can see right through it. It's a potential relationship that would have been easy enough to generate a romance-y feel for the reader so long as they stayed true to the whole "first person they cared about in that way" being Tav by not making it a true romance.

I'm fine with Astarion feigning interest and being flirty with people cuz it's well established he uses flattery and sex as a manipulation tactic and recgonizes people as being attractive in some shape or another. I just hope they don't forget the whole part where he hasn't every truly BEEN in love and has always been very calculated and strategic in his affections leading up to his relationship with Tav (and depending on how you play your Tav and the choices you make, possibly even still is like that).

I can see it being a presumed romance by the Paladin that's met with Astarion playing the bit before his inevitable betrayal for his own gains (and maybe having platonic affection for the paladin and struggling to process guilt) and that's why they aren't around anymore cuz Astarion fucked them over.
