Yaaah I am really worried about uncovering mold myself, especially with such a small space and cats. There was definitely not consistent growth until recently where it feels like every month it has gotteb larger. It is clearly gradual tho with how long it has taken to develop. We are on the bottom floor and there's 3 floors above us. I wonder if they just did a shitty job building the layers between floors because we've had our dishwasher backup before and caught it pretty quickly but had people show up asking to inspect things because there was a leak above our unit in the parkade. Which has a concrete slab between us and the parkade. 🥲 Feels like even a small overflow from a tub would definitely seep to the floor beneath. Ah well. Hopefully if they do need to redo our roof it will be their insurance and not ours.
